WHELAN, BILLINGTON
In checking over the Whelan, Bil- lington family tree in your issue' of Nov. 22 I find that the name Elam Billington has erroneousy been print- ed Elsa, as referred to in the will of John Billington of La Porte, Ind.
Elam was father of a younger John and a David, and probably a son of the maker of the will. In the family we have a letter referring to the death of "Elam's wife.". This be- ing such an unusual name it is very important. Connections are more eas- ily traced through unusual names than through names like John.
