ODELL, HAVER
I have been reading in the paper the Odell genealogy but fail to find any record of. the Odell family in Dutchess county that I am looking for. My great grandmother, Betsy Odell married a Haver (Stephen or William, I think.) I find records of two Odells who went to Dutchess county from Westchester county. They are:
1. John, son of Joshua 2 and Mary Vincent. John went to . Dutchess county and married Esther Crawford. He had a daughter Elizabeth and Daniel. I have hesrd my father speak of "Uncle Danie !. "
2. Abraham, a`so a son of Joshua and Mary Vincent. went to Dutchess county, too. Abraham married Mary Nelson. They' also had children nam- ed Daniel and Elizabeth.
3. There was a James Odell, son of Joshua who married Elizbeath Odell and went to Dutchess county. Their children were Daniel, Benjamin Lawrence, Mary, Susan, Jane, Caro- line, Harriet and Anne but no Eliz- abeth.
I obtained this from the Bolton genealogy in the History of West- chester. It does not tell whom. the two Elizabeths married. My great grandmother was known as Betsy but I thought she might be one of the above mentioned.
I am also looking for a record of Bowdewine Le Count Yelverton who Dutchess county. Of Hulda Valleau married Hulda Vallean, also of I have no trace. They had several daughters, one of whom was Jane Elizabeth Yelverton who married De- Witt Clinton Haver a son 'of Betsy Odell Haver (my great grandmoth- er.)
: Any information regarding the above will be greatly appreciated. The Havers were Palatines, I think, and settled on the Livingston Manor estate but I have no direct line of them. I shall appreciate any information regarding them.
