WAGONER, WARMOUTH

My grandmother born Caroline Wagoner, daughter of Abraham Wagoner and Catherine Warmouth. This Catherine was born Dec. 13, 1800. I have the name of Joseph Warmouth and wife Sarah or Susan- : na as parents of Catherine. Cather- ine Warmouth lived at Rome, N. Y. or was from there when she married 'Abraham Wagoner. One of her grandmothers was a daughter of Governor George Clark of New York when it was still a colony 1736-1743. In a Montgomery county history I found this Gov. Clarke buiit a home in that vicinity and lived there for a while.

- I am anxious to find out more or to find out if there are any re- cords showing connection of War- mouth into Clarke line. .

I have' also a record of Johannes Warmouth married Nancy Clark March 13, 1770.

1 Any hints or information would be most acceptable. .

KRAUS (now Crouse)

McFee spoke of the Horning fam- ily, an early member being married to a Kraus (now Crouse). The follow- ing might be of interest to Crouse descendants.

Jacob Krous, immigrant settled at Minden. His father was also Jacob Kraus who died either on shipboard or shortly after landing, as shown by this Kocherthal record in Book of Names.

Kocherthal record of marriage: Aug. 22, 1710 Johan Paul Reitschaft of Duren, dist of Pfortzheim, com- mune of Wurlach in the Palatinate and Anna Maria Kraus, widow of Jacob Kraus, of Simmern in the

Palatinate.

Note-John Paul Reitschaft appar- ently never reached the Mohawk Val- ley to become identified among the Mohawk pioneers for he evidently was impressed in service for the ex- pedition against Canada in '1711 and enlisted under the name of Paulus Reitschoff (see Book of Names, page 125). He may have died in Service-' at any rate in Simmendinger's record of Palatines at Schoharie, 1717 we find this record:

Anna Maria Redtschaff (in) wid- ow and two children, one of whom doubtless was Jacob Kraus, Jr.

Incidentally Jacob Kraus (immi- grant) was born in 1690 in the Rhone Paiatinate and undoubtedly at Sim- mern. He married Catherine Eliza- beth Nellis June 24, 1724. He died March 29, 1778.

MOSHER

I am trying to learn the names of the mother and the grandmother of Francis Mosher, who was born in 1786, probabbly in Pittstown, R ens- selaer county, N. Y., the son of a Revolutionary soldier also named Francis Mosher. Any data about these two men would be of interest, as I have only these facts and the names of the children of both gener- ations.

The children of Francis Mosher, the father, were: George Mosher, of Lockport, Niagara county, N. Y .; a daughter, first name unknown, who married Robert Mckay, and lived in Fulton county, and Francis.

The children of the son Francis The children of the son Francis were: 1, Daniei, who married and had Lydia (no more known; Emma, lived in Fulton county; and Jay, no more known; 2. Abram born 1816 in Rens- selaer county, married Amarilla Welch of Wayne county and had two sons; 3. Phila, married Hunt of Wayne county; 5. George who was prominent in the Methodist church of Tomhanneck, Pittstown, Rensse- laer county in 1850, married Lydia Ann Gorham and had three or four children; 6. Lydia, no more known.

Nicholas Mosher, born 1810, a Methodist minister in Cortland coun- ty in 1850, was a cousin, the son of Benjamin, who was the son of a brother of the first Francis.

Tradition says that the first Fran- cis was one of seven brothers, sons of Nicholas Mosher of Tyringham, Mass., who fought through the Re- volution and then went to New York State, moving arbun da good deal be- fore they settled in various places. I should like to know more about this family and should be glad to ex- change early data with anyone who has information about the later gen- erations.

NEVILLE

My great grandfather, Captain Horace Fulier, born in Wethersfield, Conn., 20 March 1785, moved to Bal- timore, Maryland as a young man. He married three times,

The first wife, whom he married in 1814, was Nicea Patterson. She er born 1768, died 1835, married died, childless, at Feli's Point, Mary- land, 21 March 1826. Nov. 22, 1795 Catherine Ecker (Ack- er) 1777-1851. Her parentage 'also wanted.

On October first, 1826, Captain Horace Fuller married Emily Ne- ville who was the mother of his sev- en children. The fourth of these children was named Nicea Patterson Fulier, after the first wife. She was my grandmother.

Emily Neville Fuller died 19 Nov. 1838, and Captain Fuller married his third wife, Ann Webb, who had no children of her own. He died in Baitimore 18 February 1846, and his widow died there in 1864.

I can find absolutely no trace cf Emily Neville before her marriage, and should very . much like to. She was probably of good family, since the newspaper notice of the marriage calls her Miss Emiy Neville, and in those days the term was not lightly applied, the usual marriage notices giving simply the name-of the bride without any. 'handle'. She may have

been a connection or a very close friend of the first wife, since she named a child for her, perhaps a niece, since Nicea Patterson was sev- enteen years older. I cannot prove this, as I have also been unable to trace Nicea Patterson's origin. Elizabeth Deeble,
