Joh: Farbanke haueing a pcell of course meadowe layed out adjoyne- ing to Naponcet Riuer neere the fielde vpon Naponcet playne. and there beeing some waste Land about one acre by estemation lyeing betwixt that his meadowe and the fence belonging to the field which if it lye comon he cannot saue the grasse in the meadowe he desireing a grant of that vpland and after to discount so much in his deuident neere Meadfield as shall be judged equall

A bill is giuen to Joseph Ellice to receaue of the Constable 156-128 in full for his sallary for keepeing the schoole this prsent yeare
[119] In order to the layeing out of the deuident neere Meadfield in the first optunitie It is at prsent agreed wth Lieftenant Fisher. that for the pfecting of the layeing out each pticular mans pcell and draweing and makeing each lyne in all places needfull. Lieftenant Fisher shall haue for his own pticulare worke therein (for what is allready done and what is yet to doe one penny for euery Acre so layed out well and truely payed him in good marchantible payem frome each ppriator in the said deuident within the space of one month after each pticular ppriators deuision is compleatly layed out as be- fore said. And its further agreed that if any ppriator shall neglect. or refuse to make payemt wthin one month as aforesaid then he or they so defectiue in payemt shall paye for euery acre one penny and one halfe penny. pvided that notice be giuen to each man when his Lott is layed out from which notice so giuen the time shall be accounted

And it is allso further concluded that if any ppriator of Lands or in- terests ther doe tender his Rights at the price that shall be by generall voate set and no buyer doe so accept it then the psons Inhabiting there shall take his Rights at that price or discharge him of the aforesaid payemt to the min- istry.

In psuance of the trust comitted to vs by the Towne at the last Generall meeteing respecting viewers of Fences and Ladders. it is ordered that Joh: Gaye and Tho: Battely. Robert Fuller and Isaac Bullard. are deputed and empowered to pforme the worke of viewers of fences and to see that the order of Towne concerning Ladders against each dwelling house be duely executed. according to the respective orders in those cases. and it is further ordered that the Limits of deuision betwixt them for the extent and bounds of this thier worke is apointed to be the high waye that runne from Charles Riuer betwixt the houses of Joseph Kingsbery and Joseph Ellice to the swampe neere the great ponde. and the men aboue named are entrusted in the power aboue said respecting all the fences about all the home Lotts and ladders against houses in those pts of the Towne in which them selues dwell. on each side the deuision before saide

In consideration of the Generall Courts order respecting children to be catechised Catechiseing children. requireing the select men to take care that no neglect therein be in thier seuerall Townes we being sencible of the great vse of that waye of instructing youth. haue intreated our Reuerend Elder to take som paynes therein. who allso is willing so to doe. and to that end doth apoint such youths as are in age suitable to attend at his house euery Lecture daye prsently after Lecture wher he will attend to that end desireing parents and masters of such youths carefully to send them that are vnder thier charge
