Daniell Holebrooke being sent for to take notice that the Towne is not willing he should settle in Towne he is tendered that vpon sufficient securitie. that the Towne may be saue harmeles from all Charge occasioned by him he- may take his owne time for goeing out of Towne he being not at prsent prpared of securitie. he is allowed time to bring it to the Towne Recorder- before the next second daye at night. the sume is to fourtie pounds to secure: by. or else answer the complaynt at the next Countie Courte

Haueing vnderstood that the worpfull Capt Pincheon vpon treaty wth the Indians about the purchase of the Indian Title in the 8000 acres layed out for this Town at Pocumpatucke and haue made a contract with them accordingly and that he aduised the Town of Dedham to make entery there vpon. this prsent sumer. which vpon consideration we conceaue may be of good vse thereby to take posession. doe accordingly order deput and empower Lieft Fisher. Ensigne Fisher and Tymothy Dwight to take care thereof. that such an enterey be made and such posession be taken in the behalfe and to the vse of the Towne in due season as in thier discretion may be most effectuall and safe for the ensureing our Title
Whereas there are diuers pcels of Meadowe yet lyeing in Comon within the bounds of that Tract of Land called Wollomunuppoag the grasse where- of maye be of good vse to seuerall psons. who allso stand in need thereof. It is therefore heereby ordered and declared that no pson what so euer shall by themselues or thier assignes. mowe grasse in any of the meadowes. or pcels of Meadow within any pt of that Tract aforesaid. before the begining of Sep- tember next. except they haue pticular liberty from the select men first ob- teyned so to doe. vpon the penaltie of forfieting Tenn shillings for euery Loade of haye so cutt contrary to this order to be recouered by the Town. or if any pson shall cutt in any meadowe without liberty as aforesaid. after that grasse is orderly granted then the penaltie aforesaid shall be due to the pson to whom that grasse was orderly granted. and may be recouered by him or his assignes

[131] At a Genrall meeting of the Towne 1: 11-1666
After the acts of the select men passed the yeare nowe passed were all read and those 3 ppositions read wch wer p'pared for consideration it was. voated
1 that the last second daye in January is apointed for a meeteing of the ppriators at Wollomonuppoage. and that all those ppriators shall haue notice thereof in due season the place of meeting is to be at Lieft Fishers house in dedham. at 10 of the clocke in the morning
2 an order being prsented ready drawen by the select men that wer the yeare last past respecting the regulateing of contracts for houses Lands ser- uants and aprentices after much debate and consideration. being put to voate- it was voated in the affirmatiue. confirming the same for a Town order
3 in refference to the pposition respecting the claye and claye grounde- Ensigne Fisher and Sergt Fuller are deputed to resolue and determine the- waye thereto. and to cause the Fence to be made that concern the Town to- make in refference to the Claye grounde and all to be done according to that contract with George Bearstow as it is recorded in the Towne booke
the next 2 daye being the 7th daye of this month is apointed for a meet- ing for the consideratio of the great playne concerning sheepe at tenn of the- Clocke in the forenoone
