Mr. Hull lived in Mountain Grove until he went to college. After he had finished his education he re- turned there as principal of the high school one year. Last spring he de- livered the commencement address to the graduating class of the Mountain Grove High school. It has -
been 10 years since he last left the town.
Mr. Hull still is a booster for Mountain Grove. When he takes time out for a fishing trip he is pretty likely to go back to the re- gion he became familiar with as a boy. Summer before last he fished on the Gasconade river near Hart- ville.
"Mountain Grove is progressive - a good school and church town," he ideclared. "It has as other attrae- -- - tions the state fruit experiment -- station and state poultry station."

Special Dispatch to The News and Lander DIXON. Mo., Oct. d .- Nerves anap- ping in the excitement of "shooting up" and robbing a little roadhouse north of here, two young Dixon men shot and killed a youth whom they had known since boy- hood as a friend.
Such was the picture drawn today by Sheriff Wyrick of Pulaski county of the holdup on the night of Bep- tember 20 at the Charles Jones road- house near here several weeks ago. In which 'John Shackelford. Dixon youth. was shot down and killed without provocation.

Adrian Riddle and George Pummill. both 23 years old and both of Diron. Arrest of the alleged slayers of Shackelford came after Sheriff Wy-
rick had picked up a tiny clue and quietly followed & trail half way across the continent. Riddle
and Pummill were arrested at the home of a friend In Fordson, a suburb of Detroit, Mich .. at the request of the Pulaski county sheriff. Wyrick went to Detroit and brought them to the county fall here.
Wyrick 1s reticent in discussing the evidence on which the arrests were based-he wants to wait until the preliminary hearing is over. He tells. however, that the two young men were seen the day of the murder in a strange car at Dixon. and that they were seen in the same car near the Jones roadhouse a short time after the shooting. The car later was found abandoned in St. Louis, according to the aheriff.

Puneral services for Miss Jorgia Lepman will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon at Grace Methodist Episcopal church. Miss Liepman, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Liepman, 935 East Wal- nut street, died early Friday following an unsuccessful effort to save her life through a blood transfusion.
The Reverend I. D. Harris, Miss Liepman'a pastor. will read the serv- Ices. Pallbearers will be David Lamone, Lindsey Kimberling. Harold Garnsey. Jack Jones, Victor Coltrane Joseph Bleciuff, Barry Holloway and Delmas McCracken. All are members of the Drury college chapter of Sigma Nu, of which Miss Liepman was a fraternity sister.

Two "original Daughters" of the American Revolution will be honored by the Rachel Donelson chapter of the D. A. R. by memorial services and the unvelling of markere on their graves this week.

The firat was Miss Evaline Clifton. the only "original Daughter" ever to belong to the Springfield chapter. She was the daughter of Nathan Clifton, who enlisted in the Colonial Armles from his Carolina home at the age of 17. The family moved to Webster county (then a part of Greene county) near Marshfield in - 1840, and Miss Clifton is buried in the Clifton cemetery on the place which her father settled Dearly 90 years ago.
She devoted her early womanbood to the care of her father, who lived to the age of' 104. 00 she never mar- ried. She died in 1912, being then 96- years old.
This afternoon at 2:30 o'clock members of the Rachel Donelson chapter of the D. A. R., and surviving kinsfolk of the Clifton and related families, will gather for the unvell- ing service at her grave of the monu- ment erected by the Springfield members of the D. A. R. Children from the nearby school also will at- tend.
It is a granite slab. Inscribed with ber name. "Miss Evaline Clifton. 1816-1912, daughter of Nathan Cuf- too, who served in the Revolutionary War.", and with a bronze placque bearing the insignia of the D. A. R. and the words "Original Daughter" Inset.

On Tuesday afternoon, acting in behalf of the 'efferson chapter of the D. A. R. In St. Louis, members of the Rachel Donelson chapter will Invell & similar memorial marker to Mrs. Elizabeth McClelland, who was a member of the Bt. Louis chapter before the Springfield chapter was organized. although she lived near Springfield at the time.
She was the daughter of Richard Taliaferro, of an old Virginia family. who took part in the historical Rogers and Clark expedition as. 8 young man, and who was a Revolu- tionary veteran.

Mrs. McClelland was born in Bata- via," Ohio. April 26. 1805: married Samuel McCelland in 1827. and moved with him to Missouri in 1833 Her only child, a daughter, married Captain L. A. Rountree, and Mrs. Mc- Celland is buried In the Rountree family burying ground about three miles southwest of Springfield.

PLEASANT HILL, Mo., Oct. 6 .- LI- mer T. Elcorn, 65, of Sedalla., Mis- souri Pacific railroad enginer, was killed' here this afternoon when he fell beneath the cars of a passenger train on which he was a passenger. He had stopped here for lunch and missed his footing as he attempted to milng aboard the moving train. -
