Mansfield of St. Louis is the son. The late Senator Mansfield of Wright county was a brother. The town of Mansfield was named in honor of the state aenator, who was prominent in the early history of this section. In the Civil war Senator Mansfield became separated from the family and was not heard of uolli years after. FUNERAL FOR VETERAN FRISCO EMPLOYE TODAY
Funeral services for R. A. Kirkpet- rick, for many years a resident of Springfield ,and a veteran employe of the Frisco railroad, who died Wednesday night at the home of bis daughter. Mrs. O. J. Draper. at Emporia, Kan., will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Klingner chapel. "The Reverend O. Bryant Drake will officiate.
Burtal will be in Maple Park ceme- tery and services at the grave will be conducted by the Gate of Temple lodge No. 422. A. 1. and A. M. of which Mr. Kirkpatrick was a member. The body is expected to arrive here tonight.
Mr. Kirkpatrick was pensioned by the Frisco railroad after many years of service, during which time be lived here.

JURORS TO PROBE MILLER'S DEATH
Prominent Farmer Crushed To Death When Mules Overturn Wagon
A coroner's jury. to be summoned by Dr. M. C. Stone, Greene county coroner, will probe the death of Charles L. Miller, 70. a prominent Greene county farmer, who was killed yesterday when his team of mules be- came frightened and ran away.
The jury will gather at the Miller home, on route 6 about four miles west of Springfield on the High street road, at 10 o'clock Saturday morning.
Mules Frightened
The mules became frightened when a motor cycle speeded past them while Mr. Miller was driving alone between Elwood and Willard. The wagon was filled with timber which he had taken from a wooded pasture he owned.
The mules, becoming frightened at the Dolay cycle, lurched and turned the wagon over .into a ditch. Mr. Miller was crushed under the mass. His chest was crushed and be auf- fered Internal hemorrhages.
Friends Rescue Miller
When farmers nearby, attracted by the crash, rescued Mr. Miller he still was conscious. He was taken to the home of James Brower, who lives nearby. He told of the accident and then died-almost an hour later. The accident occurred shortly after noon.
Dr. Btone went Immediately to the scene of the accident and made a preliminary investigation. He per- mitted the body to be moved to the home. The Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
Mr. Miller is survived by his wife; three sons, Thomas Miller and Homer Miller, who own farms near their fa- ther's home, and John Millar of Ben- tonville. Ark., & brother. Wilbur D. Miller, 406 Hovey street, and a broth- erinlaw. G. T. Smith, farmer and treasurer of the Greene County Bap- tist association.

Mrs. Angelino Lippman, 89. widow of Jack Lippman and prominent resident of this city, died this morn- ing in a Springfield hospital follow- ing a lingering iliness.
Mra. Lippman was the oldest living member. of the Grace Methodist church. When the new church wus built in 1923 Mra. Lippman, the old- est member. My Paxson, the second odest, and Mra. 8. R. Macintyre, the third' oldest, threw the first three spades of earth from the church alte. Mr. Parson and Mrs. Macintyre both died several years ago.
Mrs. Lippman was born in Greene county and moved to Springfield in 1862. Her husband died 28 years ago.
She is survived by four sons. Ben- jamin, Fred, Otto and Addison Lipp- man, an of Springfield, three daugh- tera, Mrs. Sarah Pancake, St. Louis; Mra. Mollle R. Bennett, Springfield; and Mr. 100 Edlinger. Miami, Fla.
Funeral services will be held Bun- day afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the Grave church. Dr. Frank Neff will be in charge of the services. Burial will be In Hazelwod cemetery under the direction of the Alma Lohmeyer Funeral home.

Veteran Physician Had Practiced Here for Many Years
pioneer physician in the Ozarka, Dr. John W. Williams, died at 1 30 o'clock this morning in El Paso Texas. according to word received here by his friends. He had been: !!! in health for some time and moved from Springfield to El Paso only = short time ago.
Doctor Williams came from a tam - ily of physicians. his father being one of the most prominent doctora in Farmington, Mo. Of old Virgir.in origin, the family rapidly became noted in the Ozarka and when Dr. Ben Williama, brother of Dr. John Williams, died several years ago in the White river district his funera: was attended by several hundred per- 80118.
His father practiced until he wha well up in his eighties and Doctor Williama himself was almost 76. He moved to Springfield around 1890 and began to practice on Commercial street, where his brother, Ed V. Wil- Uams later established the store which sull bears his name.
For almost 12 years he was a part- ner in medical practice with Doctor Allen W. Gifford. He was well known and liked among the group of doctors In the city and bad an extensive practice.
Ed V. Williams is at his home suf- fering from a severe attack of in- fluenza and had not been Informed of his brother's death early thty morning. Notice was received through telegrama to Doctor William O. How- ell and Doctor Gifford.
Services will be held In El Paso Re la aurvived by his wife and one son, Allen.

LEONARD L. BREWER
Leonard L. Brewer. 33 years old. died this morning at 5:05 o'clock at his home. 793 West Mount Vernon street. after a long Illness. Mr. Brew- er was an ex-service man, having served overseas with the 82nd di- vision. He had been an invalid since the war. He is survived by his wife. one daughter. Gledys Ruth; tbe father and mother. Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Brewer; and one brother, Chaun- cey Brewer_ of Baytown; Texas. Funeral arrangements are Incomplete but will be 'under the direction of the Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral home and burle will be in Green- lawn cemetery.

MRS. WILLIS SQUIRES
Mrs. Willis Squires, 69, a former Springfield realdent. died Friday evening at 6.30 o'clock at her home In Chicago. She was the wife of Willis Squires. Both lived In Bpring- field for a number of years moving to Chicago less than 20 years ago. Mrs. Squires was the mother of Mrs. Alex W. Weaver of 310 South Kim- brought avenue. The body will be brought to Springfield at 1:36 o'clock Sunday morning. Burtal will take place In Maple Park cemetery fol- lowing services Monday afternoon At 3 o'clock in the Alma Lohmeyer Fu- neral home. She is survived by the husband, one daughter. Mrs. Weaver. and one grandson. Mabrey Weaver of Springfield.
