One of Springfield's veteran tailora. Herman Lindquist, 79, who resided here for 47 years, died this morning at 12:30 o'clock at his home 2089 North Campbell avenue, following an attack of pneumonia. Mr. Lindquist was born In Folkoping. Sweden. At the age of 12 years 'he started to learn the tallor trade in his native land. He moved to New York City when he was 1 and then came to Chillicothe, Mo., and finally to Springfield. He settled here with his family and started his talloring busi- ness on Commercial street. This busi- neas he operated until about saven years ago when he retired from activo management. Surviving Mr. Lind- quist are sl :: sons. H. Mr. Brotherton was a native of Tennessee. He came to Missouri when a yourg man. Ilving first in the southeastern corner of the state. Soon after the Civil war he located In the White Church district where he spent ; the remaining part of his Ilfe.

Miss Roberts' condition 18 not serious. Mra. Snowden and Mrs. Roberts were released by West Plains police after it was found Miss Roberts' condition was not serious.
The Parsons family, who live four miles west of Alton, were driving to Thayer. The accident occurred at th U. S. Highway No. 63 intersection of the Frisco rallroad.

I started my car, which is an old model Ford touring. and As I drove over the first track, where I could see the main line, I saw the train. Shuck of Emi- nance, l'o., and for several years ahe had been assistant manager of the Quark Cuaket company.
