". Her husband, Philip Faust, was a pioneer Methodist prescher and was well known in the western Ozarks. Ho; died two years ago, several years after he had retired from active religious work. .

J. J. BEAZLEY


John J. Beazley of St. Louis and for a short time a resident of Spring- field, met with a fatal accident in Chicago Thursday while in that city on a business trip. Mr. Beazley was in a street car and automobile col- lision and received injuries that proved fatal in a few hours. The remains arrived in Springfield Bun- day afternoon and will be forwarded to Bolivar this morning where in- terment will be made in Evergreen cemetery at 10:30. Mrs. Beazley is a daughter of the late B. J. Emer- son, widely known attorney of Boll- var. Mrs. W. R. Bell of Greenfield. a elster of Mrs. Beazley, arrived in Springfield last night and with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Prescott, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Wright, Mrs. Tom Rhoades. cousins of Mra. Beazley. will go to Bolivar to attend the funeral. Mr. Beazley was a brotherinlaw of County Collector Bruce Emerson of Polk county. He was 54 years old and a member of the Order of Railway Conductors and Benevolent Protect- Ive Order of Elks.

MISSOURI PACIFIC SETTLES FOR DEATHS


The Missouri Pacific railroad has settled two of the death claims ro- sulting from the collision of & work train and freight train on the White river rallroad near Larussell, Decem- ber 13. The railroad. pald $5000 in each of the cases.


The two deaths for which settle- ment was made were those of Loy Glin Campbell of Larussell and Lowell Foster of Barcoxle.


In the Foster case the judgment was for $5380 and costs, the mother of the dead man haring berself paid ber son's funeral expenses. The rail- road company made an allowance of $250 for funeral expenses Tor each of the four men who were killed.


Settlements were made under pro- visions of the federal employers lia- bility act, under which in case of death of a man without a family. the money goes to the parents. The Campbell Judgment goes to D. C. Campbell and Mrs. Rom Campbell. parents, while that for the death of Mr. Foster goet to his mother, Mrs. Tommie Foster, of Barooxie. N8

Four divorce petitions were filed with the circuit clerk tits most.t.s. two by husbands and two by wives.


Lue Gena B. Caldwell claimed that i his wife, Florence, while she was the. mother of twins. L. D. and' Lillian. ! 16, preferred to work In a Ichtal- rent and stayed away from home. even declaring she wanted to break up. the home and let the children care for themselves. Then she de- serted after threatening to kill him, he claimed. They were married July 3. 1911, and separated September 20. 1928.


Charles L. Haslip sued. Mary El- len Haslip, declaring that she left him three times. They were married September 25. 1925, and separated Decembr 4. 1928.


Elga Bingham sued for divorce from C. W. Bingham.

JJOPLIN, Mo., Dec. 19-(AP)-M. E. Blosser. Joplin Salesman, was killed and H. C. Huchisou, also of Joplin. Injured tonight when an automobile in which they were riding crashed in- to a truck et Avilla, east of Joplin.

Stockton Couple will Celebrate Golden Wedding


STOCKTON. Mo., Dec. 19 .- Sixty- three years of married life together -will be completed tomorrow by Mr. and Mra. J. H. Hall, who have made their home in Stockton since 1888. They have made plans to appropri- ately celebrate the anniversary.


Mr. Hall, who was born in North Carolina, 1s 87 years old and his wife 18 79. They were married in Macon county, Missouri, and started house- keeping in a log house, built by the bridegroom, on a rented farm. After moving to Kansas, then to Arkansas, the couple finally settled at Stock- ton. They bare a clock more than 100 years old and which still keeps reliable time.


They have ten children, 22 grand- children, 15 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. The child- ren are: J. 8. Hall, Lamar; J. A. Hall. Boise, Idaho; W. B. Hall, Santa Fe. New Mexico; U. S. Hall. Kansas City. Kan .; Mrs. Lee Griggin, California: Mra. J. F. Gordon, St. Clair; Mrs. M. Hornbeck, Haines, Ore .; Mrs. J. O. Goodwin, Fayette, Idaho; and Mrs. J. B. Harris and Mrs. J. D. Harris of near Stockton.
