FLINT, AUSTIN-Physician, 60 East 34th street, New York City. Born in Northampton, Mass., March 28, 1836. Educated at Jefferson Medical College (M.D., '57). Editor of Buffalo "Medical Journal," 1857-60; pro- fessor of physiology, Buffalo Medical College, 1858-9. In 1861 removed to New York City and became pro- fessor of physiology and anatomy in Bellevue Hos- pital Medical College, and secretary and treasurer of the college faculty. Was Surgeon-General of New York State, 1874. Author of "Physiology of Man," "The Source of Muscular Power" and other medical works. Member New York Athletic and Manhattan Clubs and Century Association.
