HAWLEY, BOSTWICK - Methodist Episcopalian Clergyman, Saratoga Springs. Born in Camillus, N. Y., April 8, 1814. Educated at Cazenovia Seminary and Wesleyan University (A.B., '38, and D.D., '63). (Mar- ried Elizabeth R. Webber of Middletown, Conn., 1840.) Professor of ancient languages and literature in Caze- novia Seminary, 1838-42; in active pastorates, 1842-75, when he retired. Has served as president of the Sar- atoga Springs Board of Education. Author of several religious works.
