Book 4, page 2 .- Richard Shaw hath entered and made choice of two acres of land to be taken up in the half acre division at the utmost point of our bounds at the pine tree or North side. Entered February the Sth, 1719.
Book A, page 25 .- At a general meeting of the proprietors of all undivided land within the bounds of Easthampton, be- ing legally warned and met together February the 22d 1719- 20, did then agree by major vote, that all common land that is not yet laid out to particular persons Westward of Mean- tauk to the bound line between Easthampton and Southamp- ton, shall be surveyed and laid out to each man according to his or their right in commons, the surveying and laying out of the same to begin at the Northeast end of Aylewife Brook Neck and Acabonuck Neck, the whole of the abovesaid land to be laid out in at the least three or four divisions, and to be left to the Trustees for the time being to direct where there shall be and may be convenient highways in all places in or about or through the said land, and also to direct and assist the surveyors and layers out in all things needful for the performing the same.
And also it was agreed to and voted by the major vote that Nathaniel Dominy shall survey and lay out the land above- said, with the assistance of the Trustees as abovesaid.
And also it was agreed on by major vote of the proprietors then met together, that Capt. Theophilus Howell, Theophilus Peirson and Abraham Peirson shall be present at the drawing of the lots for the said land so that there may be no wrong done in that matter.
And it was also agreed on by the major vote of the pro- prietors as abovesaid that the Trustees for the time being shall assist and direct in the premises on all accounts whatso- ever.
And also it was agreed upon by major vote that no person

shall cut any green wood for firewood from the date above written until the first Tuesday in April next ensuing.

Between Peter Murdock of Easthampton &c., Merchant, of the one part and Nathan Cooper of the same place, Hatter, of the other part, Witnesseth, that the said Peter Murdock for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and forty pounds to him in hand paid, hath granted and sold unto the said Peter Cooper and his heirs forever, a piece of land con- taining ten acres and a quarter, more or less, bounded on the North by the land of Capt. John Davis, on the East by the land now in the possession of Mr. Shubal Talmage, on the South by the highway, and on the West by another highway, To have and to hold the same forever, and doth warrant to defend.

Book A, page 173} .- At a legal meeting of the Trustees of the Freeholders and Commonalty of the Town of Easthamp- ton, June the 6th, 1721, it was agreed on by major vote upon the request of Samuel Parsons that he should take up three quarters of one acre of land and twenty rods joining to the Southwest side of Jeremiah Mulford's home lot in full of all that did or doth belong to his father's allotment by virtue of an arbitration between the great lots and little lots men, con- cerning Meantauk, and accordingly the land was laid out by William Hedges, twenty rods long and seven rods wide. It is where Benjamin Ayres' house now standeth.

Book A, page 1712 .- At a legal meeting of the Trustees of the Freeholders and Commonalty of the Town of East- hampton March the Sth 1721-22, it was then agreed on and concluded by Thomas Chatfield the one party and the Trus- tees the other party for themselves and the proprietors of this Town, that the said Chatfield do lay down and resign up to the Trustees all his right, title and interest that he hath, may have or seem to have,to all the meadow ground that lieth within or about the Calf Pasture or Neck, for and in consid- eration of the same, the Trustees did allow the said Thomas Chatfield three acres and one quarter of land as it was and is laid out to said Chatfield joining to Richard Shaw's close at the Springs.

Book G, page 125 .- (Abstract)-To all people to whom these presents shall come, Greeting, Know ye that I John Edwards of Easthampton, &c., Cordwinder, for and in con- sideration of the sum of twenty pounds to me in hand paid by Thomas Edwards of the same place, Yeoman, hath granted and confirmed unto the said Thomas Edwards and his heirs forever, one piece of land in Amaganset woods bounded on the Northeast by Capt. Wheler's land, on the Southeast by the highway that goes to the Brick kills, on the Southwest by my own land, and on the Northwest by Mr. John Gardi- diner, or Enos Talmage's land, being by estimation seven acres more or less, to him and his heirs forever, and do war- rant to defend.

tion of the said Conkling laying down to and for the use of the proprietors of this Town's commons forever, one half of two pieces or parcels of land formerly laid down to the said Conk- ling's allotment, one in Aylewife Brook neck, and the other on the West side of Three Mile Harbor, have and do grant to the said Cornelius Conkling and to his heirs forever, a parcel of land in Acabonick neck, bounded Northeast by land that was formerly laid out to Jeremiah Miller, Cornelius Conkling and Company, Northwest by the fence as it is now fenced, Southwest by the meadow of Capt. Samuel Gardiner, Southeast by the meadow that formerly did belong to Richard Stretten, he the said Conkling always allowing the owners of said meadows free liberty to go through the said land to cut, cart and secure their hay from the tide or storms, and according to the said vote as abovesaid, the said land last abovesaid was measured and laid and staked, and bounded on all sides as abovesaid, by William Schellinx, he being the man appointed by the said Trustees to lay out and measure the said land to the said Cornelius Conkling.
The abovesaid is a true record of the exchange between the Trustees on the one part and the said Cornelius Conkling of the other part.
