Book G, page 163 .- (Abstract.) This Indenture, made the 27th day of July, 1702, between Ephraim Edwards, of Cape May, in the province of New West Jersey, of the one part, and William Edwards, of the Town of East-Hampton, in the county of Suffolk, upon the Island of Nassaw, in the province of New-York, in America, of the other part.
Witnesseth, that the said Ephraim Edwards, for and in consideration of the sum of eighteen pounds to him in hand paid, hath granted and sold unto the said William Edwards and his heirs forever, two-thirds of a piece of land, the whole containing eighteen acres be it more or less, lying and being upon the northwest plain of this town. Bounded with the land of John Stretton eastward, the land of Mr. John Mul- ford westward, the town's highway southward, and the town's common land northward.
To have and to hold the same forever, and doth warrant to defend.

To all christian people to whom these presents shall come, Robert Dayton, of the town of East-Hampton, in the county of Suffolk, upon the island of Nassaw, in the colony of New-York, in America, sendeth greeting in our Lord God everlasting, &c. Know ye that for divers good causes and considerations, him thereunto moving, and more especially for and in consideration of the tender love and fatherly affection which he beareth unto his well beloved daughter, Elizabeth Leeke, hath given and granted (upon the conditions following), a certain piece or hummock of land lying near the mouth of Acaboneck creek by the Fireplace, being encompassed round with salt marsh or meadow, upon condition that it shall never be sold or alienated to any person or persons whatsoever, but continue always to the said Elizabeth Leeke, and unto her male issue, and in default of male issue, to female, and for want of both to return and revert unto the heirs of Robert Dayton again. To have and to hold the same unto her and her heirs forever, and doth warrant to defend.

eth, that the said John Brooks, for and in consideration of a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in Southamp- ton bounds, containing eleven acres, be the same more or less, and formerly purchased of John Burnatt, by the said Daniel Burnatt, his brother, and now firmly alienated and conveyed by the said Daniel Burnatt, unto the said John Brooks and his heirs forever, by deed bearing date with these presents, recourse being thereunto had more fully and more largely it may and doth appear, have granted and sold unto the said Daniel Burnatt and his heirs forever, a certain tract and parcel of land lying and being at Wainscott hollow, in the bounds of East-Hampton, bounded on the one side by the land of John Hopping, and on the other side by the land of James Hand, on the one end by the land of Joseph Stret- ton and the other end by the said hollow, containing and laid out for twelve acres, be the same more or less, and also one-eighth part of a share of land and privilege at and upon the hither end of Montauk, that is to say to the westward of the fort pond, both which said land and commonage being purchased by the said John Brooks, of Stephen Hand, and also one-eighth part of a share of commonage belonging to a thirteen acre lot within the bounds of East-Hampton town, coming to said John Brooks by his grandfather, Richard Brooks, to him, the said Daniel Burnatt, and his heirs for- ever. Book G, page 173 .- (Abstract.) This Indenture made the twelfth day of March, 1702-3, between Isaac Hedges, of the town of East-Hampton, in the county of Suffolk and province of New-York, on the one part, and Samuel Hedges, of the county and province aforesaid, on the other part.
Witnesseth, that the said Isaac Hedges, for and in consid- eration of the natural love and affection I have and bear unto my well beloved Samuel Hedges, as also for the considera- tion of the lawful sum of five pounds current money of said province, to me in hand paid by the said Samuel Hedges, have given, granted and confirmed unto the said Samuel and his heirs forever, these parcels of high land ground, meadow ground and commonage following, viz., one parcel of land being part and parcel of my home lot, that is to say seven acres of the southernmost corner thereof, the highway lying on one side southerly, and on the other side westerly; also twelve acres of land, Samuel Dayton's land lying westerly, Stephen Hedges southerly, John Stretton's easterly, and the highway lying northerly, and also eight acres of land, one end thereof butting upon a piece of land of Capt. Book G, page 108 .- Know yea that I, Samuel Mulford, of East-Hampton, on Long Island, within the province of New York, for divers good causes me hereunto moving, but more especially for the sum of fifty pounds current money of this province, already by me in hand received of and from William Mulford, of this town, wherewith I am fully satisfied, con- tented and paid, have alienated, bargained and sold, made over and confirmed all of my right title and interest that I had or could have to that house and land which I bought of William Beebe, as fully and amply as is within mentioned unto the said William Mulford, to have and to hold to him and his heirs forever as fully and absolutely as is within mentioned, to be confirmed to me.

RECORDS: TOWN OF EAST-HAMPTON.
Book G, page 182 .- (Abstract.) This Indenture, made the seventh day of May, in the second year of the reign of our sovereign Lady Anne, &c., between William Edwards, Jr., of the town of East-Hampton, in the county of Suffolk, upon the island of Nassaw, in the province of New-York, in America, of the one part, and Jonah Rogers, of the town of Southampton, in the county aforesaid, yeoman, of the other part. Witnesseth, that for and in consideration of the sum of twenty-three pounds to him in hand paid by the said Jonah Rogers, hath granted and sold unto the said Jonah, one-quarter part of that share throughout Montauk that did formerly belong unto John Edwards, deceased. To have and to hold the same unto him and his heirs forever, and doth warrant to defend.
