Be it known unto all men by these presents, that I, Abiell Carle, of East-Hampton, in the county of Suffolk, on the island of Nassaw, in the province of New-York, weaver, for and in consideration of the sum of twenty and eight pounds current money of the province of New-York aforesaid, by me in hand received of and from John Davis, jr., of East-Hampton aforesaid, weaver, have bargained and sold unto the said John Davis, six acres and an half of land lying and being at the north end of John Carles home lot in the town of East-Hampton, being bound- ed eastward by land which belongs to Shuball Talmage, westward by the highway or common land, northward by land that belongs to the allotment of George Miller, deceased, and also one-half of a piece of meadow at Acaboneck great meadow, the other half of the said meadow belongs to John Carle, being bounded by Daniel Bishop's meadow eastward, by George Miller's westward, northward by a piece of meadow which did formerly belong to Richard Stretton, to the southward by the common land, and the one-twelfth part of a share of commonage of a thirty-one and a half acre allotment throughout this town's bounds, except Montauk, with all privileges thereunto belonging. To have and to hold unto him, the said John Davis, and his heirs forever, and doth warrant to defend.

Book A, page 43 .- Jeremiah Miller, of the town of East- Hampton, in the county of Suffolk, of the province of New- York, doth voluntarily acknowledge that he hath exchanged a certain piece or parcel of meadow into the possession of Thomas Baker, of the same town and county aforesaid, the which lies on the west side of the Three Mile Harbor, at a place called the Snake Hole, in estimation about two acres, be the same more or less, being bounded as follows, viz : To the southward partly by a small running brook, the northwest and northeast and southeast by his-Tho. Baker's-own land, except part of the last which is bounded by the salt creek. For and in consideration of the same the aforesaid Thomas Baker doth voluntarily acknowledge, that he have exchanged a certain piece or parcel of meadow ground into the posses- sion of the aforesaid Jeremiah Miller, the which lies at Aca- bonac's great meadow, and is the second division thereof so called, and is in the whole two acres, be the same more or less, it being bounded as follows : On the northwestward by the meadow of William Barnes, on the north or northeast by the creek called the Landing Place, on the southeast by meadow now in the possession of John Horssington and Thomas Edwards, on the southwest by the said Thomas

Book G, 202 .- (Abstract.)-This Indenture, made the 24th day of July, 1703, between James Barber, of the town of East Hampton, county of Suffolk, upon the island of Nassaw, in the colony of New York, in America, mason, of the one part, and Lewis Conkling of the same place, weaver, of the other part, witnesseth, that the said James Barber for and in consideration of the sum of seven pounds to him in hand paid by the said Lewis Conkling, hath granted and sold unto the said Lewis and to his heirs forever, four acres of land to be measured out of the northeast side of the lot of land, upon which the house of the said James Barber now standeth, the said four acres of land, bounded with the highway to the northwest, the land that did belong to Stephen Stretton, deceased, to the north- east, the land the said Barber sold to Jacob Schellinx to the southeast and the said Barbers land to the southwest. This Indenture, made the 26th day of August, 1703, between John Hopping, of East-Hampton, in the county of Suffolk, upon the island of Nassaw, in the colony of New-York, in America, yeoman, of the one part, and Thomas Edwards, of the same place, yeoman. Witnesseth, that the said John Hopping for and in consideration of the sum of five pounds, to him in hand paid by the said Thomas Edwards, hath granted and sold unto the said Thomas and to his heirs forever, five acres and an half of land, be the same more or less as it was laid out in the last division of land in the said East-Hampton, upon the southeast side of the path that leads from the said town unto Acaboneck, so as that some part of the said land reacheth across the old Amagansett path or highway, being bounded on all sides by the town's common land. Book A, page 1322 .- Know all men by these presents, that I, John Brooks, of East-Hampton, in the county of Suffolk, upon the island of Nassaw, in the colony of New- York, husbandman, being eldest son unto John Brooks, de- ceased, who was eldest son unto Richard Brooks, deceased, (from whom the within bargained premises was derived) do for myself and my heirs forever wholly quit all manner of claim to any right, title, interest and inheritance in or to the land and privileges that is sold as within by *Samuel Brooks unto Cornelius Conkling, hereby fully and absolutely re- signing up unto the said Cornelius Conkling and his heirs and assigns forever, for myself and my heirs forever, what- ever claim, right, title, interest or inheritance I have, might have, or seem to have to the within bargained premises, as attest my hand and seal this twentieth day of January, 1703-4. Book G, page 632 .- This Indenture, made the 26th day of February, 1703, between James Barber, of East-Hampton, in the county of Suffolk, upon the island of Nassaw, in the colony of New-York, in America, mason, of the one part, and Isaac Stretton of the same place, husbandman. Witnesseth, that the said James Barber for and in consideration of four acres of land by the said Isaac Stretton sold unto him, he the said James Barber hath granted and sold unto the said Isaac Stretton, and to his heirs forever, four acres of land at or near Amagansett, more or less, bounded with the land of Josiah Edwards to the Southward, the highway westward, the land of Lewis Conkling northward, and the land of Jacob Schel- linx to the eastward. To have and to hold the same, and doth warrant to defend.
