For 20 years he was Town Clerk and Treasurer. In 1863-5 he bought a small tract of land in the village. Served in the State Legislature. Chil- dren:

He d. 10 Sept. 1817, ae. 68, and was buried in Flax Island Cemetery, Otsego Co., N. Y., and his wife and daughter, Sally, are buried beside him.
