GEORGE BUCK FAMILY


72. GEORGE BUCK of Wrentham, said to be the first family to winter in town, bought land in Chesterfield, 18 June 1759; lots No. 77 and 78 in the original layout of the town. These lots were on the west border line of the town in the section now known as Ireland Street. He later sold to John Buck, probably his son. His wife, Grace Buck, was admitted to the Church by dismission from the 2nd Church in Wrentham, 13 Jan. 1765. The family was closely associated with the town of Worthing- ton, where George Buck died.
