1902 Record of Precinct two (2) town of Boxford November fourth nineteen hundred and two, Pursuant to the foregoing Warrant the inhabitants of Precinct two (2) qualified to vote as the law directs, assembled at the time and place and for the purpose therein exp- essed. At ten oclock in the forenoon, the Warrant calling the meeting was read by the Precinct Clerk, who then publicly offered the ballot box, and the same having been personally examined by the election officers and the public was flound to be empty. The ballot boy was immediately locked, the register indicating 000. and the key of the box was taken and retained by Timothy I. Cleary, the Constable in attendance The bleck then called upon the inhabitants of said Precinct qualified by law to vote in elections to give in their ballots for the purpose expressed in said warrant.


The ballot box remained locked while the polls were ofren. At two oclock and eleven minuter in the afternoon the polls were closed. The ballot box was found to register sixty five (65) The officers in charge of the check lists, in the presence of the other officers and the public, counted in a distinct and audible voice the names checked on said lists and found the whole number to be sixty four (64) The ballot box without being removed from the public view was then opened by the Warder.


The ballots were taken there from and publicly counted, audibly one by one, and the bleck publicly announced the whole number to be, sixty four (64).


The precinct officers then proceeded to count the number of votes received by each person, with the following result, namely:

At a hearing before the Board of Selectmen of the Town of Boxford, held in the Vestry West Boxford on Saturday May 9 th 1903. at 4-30 oclock in the afternoon to consider the expediency of granting a location for an Electric Road in Bolford, from West Boxford Square to the Groveland town line as Pertition of a majority of the Directors of the Haverhill, Danvers and Ipswich Street Railway Company. February 25-1903 for the location of the its Street Railway whow and over the highways and pirate lands in said town of Boxfind be revoked, and rendered null and void. in the same manner as if no location had ever been granted.

Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Town of Boxford


Be it known that Charles M. Moulton is hereby licensed and authorized to keep open and maintain a Grove, at Johnsons Pond in the Town of Boxford to beused for picnics and other lawful gatherings and amusements, for hive gain on reward, until the first day of May, 1904.


This license is granted on condition that no intoxicating liquors shall be sold on the premises, and that all gambling and betting shall be prohibited, and that the premises shall be closed up by seven o'clock P. M. on Sundays.

That the Town of Boxford hereby concurs with the Board of Harbor and Land Commissioners in the proposed change in the boundary line between the towns of Boxford and North Andover, so that the same shall be as follows :-


Beginning at the present corner of the towns of Boxford, Middleton and North Andover, at a granite monument marked A-B-M, in latitude 42° 38'30.12" and longitude 710 01' 22.12", thence north 23024' west, time bearing, 12, 31 feet to a granite monument marked A-B, in latitude 42º 40'21.90" and longitude 710 02'27. 67"; thence north 38° 44' meet, true bearing, 29, 251 feet- to the present corner of the city of Haverhill and the town of Boxford and north andover, at an unmarked granite monument in latitude 42° 44' 07,24" and longitude 71006'32.88".


That the Town of Boxford hereby concure with the Board of Harbou and Land Commissioners in the proposed change in the boundary line between the tome of Boxford and Rowley, so that the same shall be as follows :- Beginning at the present- corner of the tonne of B oxford, I Hemich and Rowley, at a granite monument lettered B-S .- R, in latitude 42 40'50.64" and longitude 700 56' 56, 73-"; thence north 5-608' meat, true bearing. 8,99 feel, to the present corner of the tonnes of @ or ford, Georgetown and Rowley, at a granite monument lettered & G;R. in latitude 420 7/ 48.14" and longitude 70° 58'36, 15".

Agreally to the warrant for holding an election issued Oct. 19, 1903. by the Selectmen the voters of the Precinct met at the Town Hall.
