To the Town Clerk of the town of Boxford Agreally the warrant issued by the Selectmen of Buford October 17th 1896 a copy of which is herewith transmitted to you, the voters of precinct one met at the Town Hall, this day. The meeting was called to order at 9.40 0 clock by the Walden John Parkhurst, The Warrant was read by the Clerk Francis J. Stevens.

1896 Record of Precinct two (2) town of Boferd November third (3 d) eighteen hundred and ninty six. Pursuant to the foregoing warrant the inhabitants of Precinct two (2) qualified to vote as the law dieds, assembled at the time and place and for the purpose therein expressed, At nine oclock and thirty minutes in the firenon the warrant calling the meeting wa read by the Precinct Clerk who then publicly opened the ballot box and the same having been personally examined by the election officers and the public was found to be empty The ballot box was immediately locked the register indicating 000 and the key of the box was taken and retained by Rowland Watts the Constable in attendance. The Clerk then called when the inhabitants of said precinct qualified by law. to give in their ballots for the purpose expressed in said warrant." The ballet box remained locked while the polla were open. At two oclock and twenty minutes in the afternoon the polls were closed. The ballot box was found to register sixty one (61) The officers in charge of the check lists in the presence of the others officers and the public counted in a distinct and audible voice the names checked on said list and found the whole number to sixty one (61) The precinct officers then proceeded to count the number of votes received by each person with the following result viz: Whole numberso tes for President and Vice President fifty six (56) Blanks (5)
