The meeting was called to order by the Warden John Parkhurst, the warrant read by the Clerk, the ballot box opened and shown to be empty, then closed and the key placed in the hands of Constable, David Mighill.

At nine o'clock in the forenoon the Warrant calling the meeting was read by the Precinct blekk. who then publicly thened the ballot box and the same having been personally examined by the Precinct Officers and the public was found to be empty The ballot box was immediately locked, the register indicating 000. and the key of the box was taken and retained by George E. Carver the constable in attendance.
