The business to be carried on thereat and the products thereof to be sold or used for food are slaughtering neat cattle, sheep and swine, to be soldas calcasser.


The estimated number of animals to be slaughtered thereat per week are one neat cattle; mone calves; none sheep; ten swine. Iintend to slaughter said animals at the said estab lishment on the following-named days and at the designated times of day in each week :- Monday, Thursday and Friday between 4 a. m. and moon.

1897. Record of Precinct Two (2) Town of Boxford


November second (2nd) eighteen hundred and ninety seven. Pursuant to the foregoing Warrant the inhabitants of Precinct Two (2) qualified to vote as the law directs assembled at the time and place and for the purpose therein expressed. At nine o'clock and thirty minutes in the forenoon. the Warrant calling the meeting was read by the Precinct Clerk who then publicly opened the ballot box, and the same having been personally examined by the elections officers and the public was found to be empty.


The ballot box was immediately locked the register indicating 000 and the key of the box was taken and retained by James C. Whitney the Constable in attendance. The Clerk then called when the inhabitants of said Precinct qualified by law to vote to give in their ballots for the purpose expressed in said Warrant. The ballot box remained locked while the Polls were open. At two o'clock and two minutes in the afternoon the Polle were closed.


The ballot box was found to register forty seven(4] The officers in charge of the check lists in the presence of the other officers and the public counted 100 a distinct and audible voice the names checked in said list, and found the whole number to be forty seven (47)


The ballot box without being removed from the public view was then opened by the Warden the ballots were taken therefrom and andilly counted one by one, and the Clerk publicly announced the whole number to be fat, seven (47) The precinct officers then proceeded to count the number of votes received by each person with the following result: Total number of votes for Governor 46 Blanks 1
