Motion by Albert L. Nash that the Treasurer be authorized with the approval of the Board of Selectmen, to borrow money in anticipation of Highway Revenue, and to issue a note or notes of the Town therefor. VOTED

Berthiaume that a sum of $8,279.15 be transferred from the Road Machinery Rental Account to the Road Machinery Maintenance Account and that the Board of Selectmen be authorized to spend $906.00 of this amount to- wards the purchase of a sidewalk tractor and that the Selectmen be authorized and empowered to turn in the old sidewalk tractor now owned by the Town as part payment on the purchase of the tractor. Motion by W. A. Proctor that the Town vote to approve, ratify and authorize the action of the Board of Selectmen in se- curing Workman's Compensation Insurance covering Town Em- ployees. VOTED

Motion by Albert L. Nash that $400.00 be transferred from the General Treasury to the Fire Department Account to be used solely by the Rochdale Company for necessary Expenses. VOTED

Motion by Gerald F. Guilfoyle that $3,505.30 be raised and appropriated to pay Vacation and Holiday pay to the High- way and Police Departments. To be eligible for vacation the employee must have worked 32 weeks of the year. A new em- ployee in order to be eligible for one weeks vacation must have worked 52 weeks prior to his anniversary date. VOTED
Article 23.
Motion by Arthur M. Williamson that the Town vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to sell at Public Auction any property obtained by the Town through Tax Title or Fore- closures. VOTED
Article 24.
Motion by W. A. Proctor that $1,395.00 be raised and appropriated to pay for the purchase and installation of a new siren on the Cherry Valley Fire Station and that any of the present equipment be turned in as part payment. VOTED
Under this same Article a motion by Stephan Parker that the Town authorize the Fire Equipment Replacement and Pur- chasing Committee to purchase a new fire truck for the Cherry Valley section of the Town; and the Town transfer from the Capital Outlay Fund the sum of seven thousand dololars ($7,- 000.00) to be used to pay for part of the cost of said truck; and that the Treasurer of the Town, with the approval of the Select- men be and is hereby authorized to borrow the sum of $11,000 .- 00 under authority of Chapter 44, of the General Laws, therefor payable in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 44 of the General Laws, so that the whole loan shall be paid in not more than three years from the date of issue of the first note or bond, and that the said sum of $11,000.00 so borrowed to be also used for the purchase of the fire truck; and that the Fire Equip- ment Replacement and Purchasing Committee be authorized and empowered to turn any fire equipment now owned by the Town as a part payment on the purchase of the new fire truck.

Sperry, (her executors, administrators, and as- signs) the right to construct and maintain a garage for personal and not for commercial use not closer than 10 feet from the westerly boundary of the Leicester Public Library and not closer than 55 feet from the northerly line of Main Street on that parcel of land approximately 20 feet wide adjacent to said Library Land and described in a deed from Edwin L. Watson to Ellen D. Holmes dated December 1, 1892, and recorded with Worcester District Registry of Deeds. Book 1460, Page 552. VOTED

Motion that the Town vote to raise and appropriate $1,- 735.00 to pay Thomas J. O'Connell for professional services in making appraisals of the damage caused to certain property owners on Pleasant Street in Leicester and by reason of a taking made of their property by the County of Worcester. VOTED

Reynolds that $640.00 be raised and appropriated for use by the Water Storage Investigating Com- mittee, and that said Committee be authorized to expend these funds in a preliminary study to determine the feasibility of fur- ther consideration of the proposed Shaws brook site of the Upper Quaboag River Water Shed for a Domestic water supply for the Town of Leicester.
