Medical Electrical Apparatus,
DETACIT. BUREAU. CE ENG.
And ELECTRO-THERMAL HYDRIC
Electricity has long been used in treating the sick, and if it has ever met with failures the fault was not with the Electricity at all, but oving entirely to the IMPERFECT APPARATU'S and the IGNORANCE of the PRACTITIONER. This has been PROVED by the effects of the perfect apparatus now in use at the
ELECTRICAL HEALTH INSTITUTE, Cor. State & Rowland Sts., Detroit, Michigan. A fac-simile cut of which is at the head of this page. This is the most elaborate Medical Electrical Ap- paratus ever constructed in any part of the world. With this Apparatus, while the patient is in a bath (the water of which may be at any temperature, so as to produce a gentle or a profuse perspiration, or none at all as may be desired), a gentle, soothing, pain-removing, strengthening and toning current of Electricity may be made to permeate through the WHOLE BODY so as to be felt from the TONGUE TO THE TOES AT THE SAME MOMENT, or directed so asto be felt only in any single part or organ of the body, at the will of the operator. These currents are sent through the water, and nothing but the water is touching the body. After this electrical bath, the patient is placed on a couch or stool, and the Electri- city from the Perfect Apparatus is applied with a sponge electrode down the spine and over the affected parts ; and so patients who have been under treatment for many years, and spent thousands of dollars going from one water cure to another, and from one magnetic or mineral spring to another, are cured in from one to three months.
With this Apparatus and Bath we are especially successful in curing Acute and Chronic Rheuma- tism, Neuralgia, Paralysis, Softening of the Brain, and all kinds of Fits, Spinal Curvature and Affertions of the Spine, all derangements of the Brain, St. Vitus Dance, General Debility, Nervoas Debility, all derangements of the Nervous System, Insanity, discases arising from a disturbed and imperfect circula- tion of Vital Forces and Impure Blood, from a diseased Liver or Kidneys, IMPOTENCY, in both seves. and all FEMALE COMPLAINTS, Constipation, Dyspepsia, discases of the Heart, and first stages of Consumption. And all diseases where the conditions of Torpor, Weakness and Congestion exist, thus covering all forms of Chronic Diseases, and all pains in every part of the body. In fro'n one day to thirty every case will see a decided change for the better, and in three months, cases who have been as many years hunting health, are cured.
Invarde from abroad acc. immo lated with be ard and rooms In the immediate vicinity of the INSTITUTE. The cost of this Apparatus complete is Signed, manufactured and soul y DR. L. W. CARK. Detroit, Mich.
