Life Insurance Company,
OF PITTSFIELD, MASS.
Incorporated 1851. Twenty-four years successful Business. One of the Oldest and Most Reliable Companies in the Country.
Why should you Insure in the Berkshire Life Insurance Company ?
Because it is a First-Class Company in every respect. Because, in addition to being sound and responsi- ble, its policies are absolutely non-forfeitable. Because, under the laws of its organization, policy- holders are secured against loss in the event of a failure to pay premiums when due.
FOR EXAMPLE:
Policy No. 5,869. Bernard. O'Grady, of Detroit, Mich., insured October 7, 1867, for $3,000. Life, 10 payments. Premium, $173.10.
- This policy lapsed for non-payment of premium, October 7, 1868. Mr O'Grady died at Detroit, August 18, 1871, and the Company paid the claim less three premiums and interest. Mr. O'Grady would have remained insured until December 3, 1871.
Policy No. 4, 717. Lawrence Byrnes, of Boston, Mass. Insured January 2, 1867, for $5,000. Endow- ment 15 years. This Policy lapsed for non-payment of premium January 2, 1871. Mr. Byrnes died at Worcester. Mass., March 29. 1874, and the Company will pay the chhim, when due, less four premiums, with interest. Mr. Byrnes would have remained insured until November 10, 1836.
