The Reverend J. B. Ellis. 81. for 50 years a minister In the Southwest conference of the Methodist Episcopal church. South. died at 9:15 last night at li!s home at 1015 Market avenue. after a lingering l'iness.
The Reverend Ellis, who was at one tlind president of Morrisville college at Morrisville, and for four years pre- siding elder of the Springfield district had been superannuated for the past ten years. He was born at Cooper- town. Tenn. in 1848 and came to Springfield to live In 1902.
