Dual Controls Hooked

Three theorles regarding the cause of the crash were advance !! today. but the explanation that Bartell. the pilot, and Allen both had been drinking ran through the other pos -. sibilities. It was discovered after the crash that the plane's dual con{ troms were hooked up at the time, and it is possible that Allen sought to get control of the ship from Bartell.

A suggestion that fulles of the biplane were to blame canie frem Gradon Ballard, a licensed puot of !. Willow Springs, who onty lour aço Tell from a low altitude In Los

Fand. Charles Alsup, lus passenger. both escaped unhurt in the first fall. Ballard salu he believed one wing of the plane was henvy, and that the rudder ant not work properly.
