J. P. Overstreet. 34. was bound ayer in the November term of Oregon county circuit court on $5000 bond following hia preliminary hearing yesterday morning at Alton. Mo .. on a charge of first degree murder In : connection with the alaying last week of Henry Watson. 48, on A faim two miles south of Thomasville.


Watson, a tenant on a farm owned by Overstreet, was shot last Wednes- day afternoon hy Overstreet, follow- Ing a dispute between the two but did not die until Friday night.


A large number of witnesses had been subpoenaed for the hearing. some of whom testified that Watson made a dying statement that his trouble with Overstreet arome from the latter's objection Marion Lashley, 32. living in the same farm home.
