THE NEAL FAMILY.
1. JOSEPH NEAL was b. March 23, 1762, in Kittery, Me. ; was brought up in Stratham ; settled early in Meredith, and there m. Han- nah Smith (1788), who was b. March 27, 1771, in M. He was a farmer in Meredith, and there d., March 23, 1851, ae. exactly 89. She d. one day later, ae. 80, and both were buried in the same grave. Children :

He m. Elmira Aiken, Jan. 17, 1827, who was b. Dec. 17, 1804, in Francestown, the dan. of Jolin Aiken. He d. June 9, 1862, ac. 63-2, having occupied the homestead as a farmer. Children :

She (3d wife) was the dau. of William Pearey (b. Feb. 5, 1744) and Anna Mitchell (b. Dec. 18, 1742), who were m. Nov., 1004, and whose children were : - 1. William (Pearey), b. April 20, 1766. 2. 10. JOHN PAGE was b. June 10, 1773, in Andover, being the son of Goshum ( ?) Page, an early settler there. He rem., first, to Washı- ington, Vt., and came to this town about 1806, settling below T'in Corner (Lot 74, 2d Div.), where one Mr. Tewksbury had just before lived, and building the present house, now owned by his children [14] and [15], iu 1815. He had m. Hannah Batchelder, sister of William (see p. 20 [1]), Jan. 24, 1799 ; was a carpenter and cooper, as well as farmer, and d. iu Sanbornton, as above, June 9, 1852, ae. 79. She d. Sept. 6, 1863, ae. 91-1.
