Saint Lawrence County, N. Y. George Anson (5) Flower of Parishville was born Oct. 4, 1788 at Richmond, Berkshire County, Mass. He was the son of Theron (4) Flower (Elijah 3, Lamrock 2, Lamrock 1) and Lucina. (Reeves) Flower. His father died when he was five years of age leaving his mother with three small sons of whom George Anson was the old- est. On July 11, 1798, the widow Lucina (Reeves) Flower married as his second wife, Israel Cham- pion Janes of Cornwall, Addison County, Vt., and George Anson lived there with his step-father until he was of age and then re- moved to and settled at Parish- ville where he spent the rest of his ilfe. The names, dates, mar- riages, locations and lists of child- ren of George Anson Flower's 2 brothers is wanted. It is assumed that they were Andrew (5) Flow- er and Seymour (5) Flower whose marriages are recorded in the vl- tal records of Cornwall and Shore- ham, Vt. Andrew Flower of Corn- of wall married Polly. Hagle Shoreham Oct. 18, 1812 and Sey- mour Flower and Jerusha Gale both of Cornwall were married Dec. 1, 1819. Proof wanted that they were indeed George Anson's brothers. George Anson Flower named his first son Andrew Sey- mour Flower.

Before the World War the College of Arms made grants only to British subjects, but since the war it is making grants to Ameri- can families also.

John Conkling the Emigrant was born In Kings, Swineford County, England about the year 1600, was a brother of Ananlas; he married Elizabeth Alseabrook on Jan. 24, 1625, at St. Peter's Parish Church, Nottingham, Eng. The two brothers arrived in Amer- ica in 1636 and Settled in Salem, Mass. His two sons John and Timothy may have been born in England but Jacob Elizabeth were baptised in Salem, Jan 18, 1649.
There is a fee of F75 which in- cludes the government tax of F10, ten shillings and an illuminate de- sign of the armorial bearings. This is not a commercial tansaction, rather a social preferment as the grantee must be able to maintain the position of a "gentleman".
