Petrie, recommended to him as the best cheese-maker available, to leave Herkimer, N.Y. to settle near Mount Carmel (near Flemingsburg), Kentucky, to man- age his dairy. Peter Joseph 4 Wagner, better known as the Hon. Peter J. Wag- ner, was son of Johan Jost or Jo- seph 3 Waggoner (later Wagner) and Catherine 5 Albeei and grand- son of Lt. Johan Peter 2 Waggon- er (Johan Peter 1) and Barbara Elizabeth 2 Dockstader (George 1) and of Johannes 4 Albeel '(Chris- offel 3, Johannes 2, Christopher Janse 1) and Maria Knouts (Knautz).
Said Peter J. Wagner was in- terested in the family genealogy and supplied both W. P. Webster, Mohawk Valley Waggoner-Wagner genealogist, and Jeptha R. Simms, historian, with a number of Abeel clues. In Webster's Notebook is a notation : "Said Peter J. Wagner: 'He (referring to his maternal grand-father Johannes 4) was con- nected with the Abeels on the Nonth River -- Catskill, etc. Mins. Wagner and Mrs. Dygert used to visit them periodically. The cele- brated David Abeel was one of the relatives, and one Judge Abeel was a cousin to Mrs. Wagner and Mrs. Dygert. Through the Abeeis, Marinus Willett was a relative, having married an Abeel."

Hutchinson lists the children of Christoffel 3 Janse 1) and Marbarita 3 Bries (Anthony 2, Hendrick 1), mar. Sept. 23, 1720, as:
