Corrections asked if I have mis- stated the meaning of the deed in my foregoing analysis. Wairath, Dieferidorf,

Falling,

Dygert, Langdon, Bleecker Identities asked of any of the names mentioned in the above especially those of Henry Failing and Charles Walrath in (1) of James Dienfendorf in (3), of - Countryman in (6) and of - Langdon and the owners of the Ehle and Dygert mills in (7), any one of whom might have been a relative of the above Joseph Wag- ner.

. Was the William BluKu in (5) probably intended for "Bleecker" by the clerk who wroteout the deed, William E. Bleecker who was the son of said Joseph's 2nd wife Catharine ? She was the Mrs. Catharine Waggoner or Wagner who wals the one-time widow of ... ... Bleecker (who was he?) and of Archy Keeps [ and also the one-time Catharine Barse and Cathraine Gibson.

Nelson Green, in his recent book on the "Fort Plain-Nelliston History," pp. 57-8, states that William Bleecker (William E. ? ) purchased in 1835 the present Font Plain DAR Chapter House from Joseph Wagner, who was the same as the above grantor. Fur- ther, that this house, built . by Isaac Paris Jr., ca 1786, remained in the Bleecker family for nearly a century; other sources state that it was long known as "the Bleecker Mansion." Is this house and the lot upon which it stood the same as the "Lot lately con- veyedto William BluKu," mention- ed in parcel (5) of the above 1838 Deed of. Joseph Wagner to his son John I .? Copy of the 1835 Deed by Joseph Wagner to Wil- liam Bleecker wanted.

1838 Deed by Joseph and Cath-|about at right angles to said arine Wagner to John I. Wagner | Street, being about fifty by sixty feet-

The following copy is verbatim except for the paragraphiing and the numbers I have assigned to the different pieces of property described. This I have done for easy reference to the deed in the queries following it.

Said deed is among the papers in W. P. Webster's collection. It is on a printed form called a "Common Warranty Deed" with spaces left to be filled in. This form was "printed and sold by Levi S. Backus at the Central Asylum, Canajoharie, N. Y."

The deed is folded as if for fil- ing and on one of the outside folds is written:

The 18 acres described in par- cel (1) appearto have been in that part of thetown of Canajoharie which later, in 1849, was added to the town of Minden. Is this correct ?

the man behind the Dial Telephone

1

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the inven- tion of the dial telephone switch, and the 110th anni- versary of the birth of its inventor, Almon Brown Strowger. Like so many who have contributed so greatly to man's progress, Almon B. Strowger never received the fame he so richly deserved. But through the years, ever improving dial telephone service has been a living monument to him,

We are especially proud that Almon B. Strowger was an Independent telephone man, and the inven- tion, pioneering and development of dial telephone service are achievements of the Independent portion of the Telephone Industry.
