NEW COMMITTEES
A Committee to look into SEWERAGE possibilities in the Town of Randolph, to consist of five (5) members, including Selectman Roger A. Lutz, Fred A. Diauto, of the Board of Health, John A. Frederickson, Highway Surveyor, and two other members to be appointed by the Committee. This Committee to study and report to the next Annual Town meeting their findings pertaining to Sewerage and Drainage in the Town, and to go as far as they can with plans at no cost to the Town.
A Committee of five (5) to be appointed by the Moderator to study and make any necessary recommenda- tions pertaining to ELECTRIC LIGHT RATES IN ALL PUBLIC BUILDINGS in Randolph, including Street Light- ing.
A Committee of five (5) to be appointed by the Moderator to look into the problem of SICKNESS AND ACCIDENT INSURANCE FOR TOWN EMPLOYEES and to report back at the next Annual Town Meeting.

Article 9. VOTED: That the Town raise an ap- priate the sum of $20.00 for the maintenance and lighting of the clock in the tower of the First Congregational Church.
Article 10. VOTED : That the Town raise and ap- priate the sum of $20.00 for the maintenance and lighting of the clock in the tower of the First Baptist Church.

Article 12. VOTED : That the town raise and ap- propriate the sum of $500.00 and that the sum of $475.00 be transferred from the Interest Account of the Stetson Fund for the maintenance and upkeep of the Town Hall.
Article 13. VOTED : That the town raise and ap- propriate the sum of $1200.00 for the organization and administration of Civilian Defense to be expended under the direction of the Board of Selectmen.
Article 14. VOTED UNANIMOUSLY: That the Town raise and appropriate the sum of $2.00 for an ease- ment for drainage purposes over lands now or formerly owned by one Perlstein and by one Brennan, or others in connection with the use of the property acquired by the Town for High School purposes.
Article 15. VOTED UNANIMOUSLY : That the Town instruct the Selectmen to purchase or take by emi- nent domain the following described parcel of land for School purposes: Beginning at a point on Adams Street, at the northeast corner of the present Tower Hill School

lot, then running east along Adams Street, until it reaches a distance of fifty feet, then turning and running about one hundred forty (140) feet parallel to the present school line until it reaches the land now or formerly owned by Agnes M. and Ashton Worswick, then turning and run- ning about fifty feet west by said Worswick land to the present school lot, thence turning and running North by said school lot, to the point of beginning and that the sum of $350.00 be raised and appropriated therefor.
Article 16. VOTED UNANIMOUSLY : That the Town instruct the Selectmen to purchase or take by emi- nent domain the following described parcel of land, for School purposes : Bounded West by the Tower Hill School lot: North by land now or formerly of George K. and Adeline Farley, and the east line to be one hundred twenty (120) feet distance from and parallel to the west line of Lafayette Street, and south by land now or formerly of Ralph W. and Evelyn L. Marshall, and to raise and appro- priate the sum of $1,000.00 therefor.
Article 17. VOTED : That the School Committee complete the present Tower Hill School grounds under the School Maintenance Fund.
Article 18. VOTED : That the Town transfer from the E. & D. Account the sum of $1500.00 for preliminary sketches for an addition to the Devine School; this money to be spent under the direction of the School Planning and Building Committeee.

Article 20. VOTED : That the Selectmen together with the Chairman of the Randolph Parking Meter Com- mittee, C. Lloyd Claff, Chief of Police Patrick T. McDon- nell, Arthur E. Conrad, Michael J. Diauto, Theodore S. Luddington and Martin E. Young enter into an agreement for the acquisition, installation, and maintenance and op- eration of Parking Meters in the Town or any part thereof as they deem proper and expedient for the control of park- ing on the highways and to raise and appropriate money therefor or take any action relative thereto.
Article 21. VOTED : That the Town instruct the Chief of the Fire Department to appoint two additional permanent men, according to Chapter 48, Section 42, of the General Laws and raise and appropriate the sum of $4,650.00 for the same.
Article 22. VOTED: That the Town transfer the sum of $8,800.00 from the E. & D. Account to be used for the purchase of a new motor pumping engine of not less than five hundred gallons capacity for the Fire Depart- ment. This money to be spent under the direction of the Board of Selectmen on the recommendations of the Fire Chief.

WATER MAINS
Article 91. VOTED : That the Town raise and ap- propriate the sum of $6,650.00 to install a 6" water main to proposed new High School and to continue to Highland Avenue, with necessary gates and hydrants, for a dis- tance of 1650 feet, work to be done under the direction of the Board of Water Commissioners.
Article 92. VOTED UNANIMOUSLY: That the Town raise and appropriate the sum of $25,000.00 for the purpose of purchasing and installing pumps and oil burners in the pumping station plant at Great Pond in the Town of Randolph, the source of water supply for the Towns of Randolph and Holbrook, and authorize the Water Commissioners of Randolph acting jointly with the Water Commissioners of Holbrook to purchase and install said pumps and oil burners with all necessary equipment; and that the sum of $25,000.00 be raised in the following manner: That there be raised and appro- priated the sum of $3,000.00 from the current year's tax levy and the Town Treasurer be authorized with the ap- proval of the Board of Selectmen to borrow the sum of $22,000.00 under the authority of Chapter 44 of the Gen- eral Laws and to issue bonds or notes of the Town therefor in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 44 of the General Laws or of acts amendatory thereof or supple- mental thereto so that the whole loan shall be paid in not more than five years from the date of issue of the first bond or notes.
Article 93. VOTED : That the Town raise and ap- propriate the sum of $6,000.00 and instruct the Board of Water Commissioners to install a six-inch (6") water main with gates and hydrants on Reed Street for a distance of

TOWN OF RANDOLPH, MASS.
1. Five members of the Town Planning Board; Board of Selectmen; Highway Surveyor; Town Counsel; One member of the Board of Health; One member of the Water Commission; Two members from each of the hous- ing developments in Randolph. The members from Board of Health, Water Commission and housing developments to be appointed by the Town Moderator.
2. The specific purpose of this special committee will be to assist the Planning Board in drawing up for publica- tion a set of laws, in accordance with the General Laws of Massachusetts, governing the selection of building sites, the laying out of land, the laying of roads, the installation of drainage systems and the installation of sewerage sys- tems.
