FORSGREN, JOHN ERIK (son of John Oluff Forsgren, born Oct. 17, 1793, and Anna Christina Hollstrand, born Nov. 24, 1786). He was born Nov. 7, 1816, Gefle, Sweden. Came to Utah Oct. 16, 1847, with a part of Co. D, Mormon battalion.


Married Sarah Bell Davis (daughter of William Davis and Sarah McKee), who was born April 15, 1829. Their children: Charles William, m. Esther Smith; Sarah Alice, m. Hyrum Smith; John Heber b. Oct. 7, 1856, m. Ann Jane Evans Aug. 12, 1880, m. Cynthia Marie Thorn Dec. 16, 1885, m. Lydia Ann Walker July 1, 1903. Family resided Salt Lake City and Brigham City, Utah.

FORSYTH, JOHN IRWIN (son of Andrew Forsyth and Sarah Irwin, of Carllsie, Eng.). Born July 27, 1816, at Carlisle, Eng. Came to Utah Sept. 12, 1861, Milo Andrus company.


Married Sarah F. Barker March 29, 1841, Carlisle (daugh- ter of John Barker and Margaret Freeiand, of Cariisle). She was born Oct. 14, 1815, Glasgow, Scotland. Their chil- dren: Jane B., m. James C. Snyder; Margaret B., died; Andrew Barker, m. Emily E. Moss; Sarah B., m. John B. Meldrum; Margaret R., m. Hyrum Yates; Mary E. B., m. William H. Harrison. Family resided Ogden, Salt Lake and E. T. City, Utah.


High priest. Put up machinery for woolen factory at Canyon Creek and managed same until he moved to Ogden 1867. Located at Provo 1888. Carder, spinner and farmer. Died Feb. 15, 1897, Provo, Utah.
