Served as militiaman in Waiker war, during which time drove the "Sow" cannon from Provo to Salt Creek (now Juab). Served on home guard in Black Hawk war. Director Cedar Fort Co-op. store 1868-76, for which he was purchasing agent 15 years; director of water board 25 years, and has been watermaster since 1860 continuously. School trustee nine years.
