JORDAN, JOHN (son of John Jordan, born June 21, 1775, Berkshire, Eng., and Chariot Townsend, born about 1777, Berkshire). He was born Jan. 4, 1812, Courtney, Berkshire. Came to Utah 1852, independent company.


Married Cynthia Elizabeth Phillips Feb. 18, 1842, who was born Dec. 7, 1813, died at Genessee, Kane county, Iil., March 25, 1847. Their children: Jacob Henry b. Dec. 6, 1842, in Michigan, d. San Pete county, Utah; John Phillips b. Aug. 31, 1845, m. Julia Smith, m. Dell McPeak.


Married Charlott Malinda Colvin Aug. 16, 1847, who was born Nov. 20, 1807, died Feb. 1, 1851, in Iowa.

Givens Nov. 22, 1887, Waiisburg, Utah (daughter of James and Agnes Givens, Heber City, Utah). She was born Feb. 4, 1867. Their children: William Elmer b. Feb. 26, 1889; James Alva b.
