Married Loulsa Taylor April 4, 1841, who was born Oct. 31, 1823, in Barbour county, Ala., and came to Utah with husband. Their children: Calysta W. b. Feb. 15, 1843, m. R. John Strickiand; Thomas b. Dec. 2, 1849, m. Mary Ann Taylor Feb. 1881; Veda b. November, 1906.


Upon arriving in Salt Lake City, he settled in South Cottonwood and engaged in farming. The following year, 1848, he went to California to work in the mines, where he died.
