PERRY, ALEXANDER (son of Matthew Perry and Mary Turner). Born Dec. 21, 1829, Paisley, Scotland. Came to Utah 1853. His brothers and sisters were: James Perry; Mal- colm Perry; Matthew; Mary; Elizabeth; Alexander; Robert. All born in Paisley, but came to America in 1852. They conducted a large dye house in New York for several years. Robert, the youngest, fought In the civil war on the side of the North, and although wounded several times lived for years after.
