THOMAS, HARRISON AYERS (son of Joseph and Mary Ann Thomas, both of North Carolina; latter born 1810). He was born April 5, 1837, Summerville, Kemper county, Miss. Came to Utah 1851, John Brown company.


Married Ann Morehead Feb. 12, 1858 (daughter of James Madison Morehead and Elizabeth Turner Thomas, former died en route to Utah, latter came Sept., 1850, Aaron Johnson company-married 1836). THOMAS, HUGH WILLIAM (son of David Thomas and Elizabeth Williams). Born Jan. 29, 1830, Pembrey, Carmar- thenshire, South Wales. Came to Utah Aug. 29, 1868, Wii- liam S. Seeley company.


Married Mary Ann Sparrey (daughter of Thomas and Sarah Sparrey, former of Carmarthenshire). She also came with William S. Seeley company. Their children: George Sparrey, m. Hannah Adelia Dredge; Sarah; David Sparrey, m. Alice Dredge; Elizabeth, died on the plains. Family home Pembrey, Carmarthenshire, Wales, before coming to Utah.


THOMAS, DAVID SPARREY (son of Hugh Wiiilam Thomas and Mary Ann Sparrey). He was born Sept. 23, 1862, Pem- brey, Wales, as also were his brothers and sisters.


Married Alice Dredge April 13, 1888, Logan, Utah (daugh- ter of Jesse Richard Dredge and Elien Rhees, pioneers Sept. 13, 1861, Joseph Horne company). She was born Dec. 7, 1868, Malad City, Idaho. Their children: David Dredge b. April 28, 1889; Jesse Dredge b. July 28, 1891; Wllilam b. June 7, 1894; Alice Adelia b. Dec. 7, 1896; Herbert Dredge b. May 15, 1900; Liza b. Feb. 2, 1905.


THOMAS, JAMES MORONI (son of Nathaniel Thomas, died In 1841, at Nauvoo, Iil., and Susan Luce, of Mount Pisgah, Iowa). He was born July 27, 1841, Rochester, Sangamon county, Ill. Came to Utah Sept. 15, 1850, James Pace company.


Married Mary Hebden Holroyde March 30, 1862, Ogden, Utah (daughter of Thomas E. Holroyde and Dinah Williams of England, Philadelphia and Omaha, pioneers Sept. 13, 1861, Joseph Horne company). She was born Nov. 9, 1846. Their children: Nathaniel J., m. Elizabeth Brown Dee Jan. 12, 1887; Mary Rodelphia, m. Josiah G. Read March 11, 1887; Moroni Holroyde, m. Katie Fitzgerald Nov. 9 38: Dinah Elizabeth, m. Albert J. Johnson July 17, 1880 Joert William, dled; Ellen Hebden; Edwin Martin, di. Crissie Ann, died; Chester Hoiroyde. Family home Ogden, Utah. High priest. Went to Omaha in 1862 for immigrants. Merchant.


THOMAS, JAMES WYLIE (son of James Sands Thomas and Mary Morrow of Mississippl). Born Sept. 7, 1834, Dallas county, Ala. Came to Utah Oct. 2, 1847, Jedediah M. Grant company. His step-father, Washington Norwood Cook, ac- companied him.


Married Mary Elizabeth Koyle in December, 1855, Spanish Fork, Utah (daughter of John H. Koyle and Nancy Macurdy of Illinois, pioneers 1852, Edward Hunter company). She was born May 30, 1840. Smith Sept. 22, 1897, Salt Lake City (daughter of Ellas Smith and Amy Jane King of Salt Lake City, pioneers 1850). She was born July 11, 1869. Their children: Davld Smith b.
