Was present at the great celebration held at Promontory Hill, Utah, at completion of Union Pacific railroad, which made railroad connection from Atlantic to the Pacific. Commissioner Weber county 1895-96 and 1900-06. Built "The Hermitage," a summer hotel in Ogden Canyon, one of the largest log buildings in America.
