M. M. I. A. six years; mayor and city councilman. Bullt canals, wagon roads, saw mills; operated a flour mill many years: grew the first apples; raised first cows, horses and sheep; did exten- sive farming, and led in bullding up the community. Died Nov. 16, 1899, Falrview. His posterity number 383 persons.
