ANNUAL MEETING March 2, 1936
Pursuant to a Warrant issued by the Selectmen, the in- habitants of the Town of Medfield, duly warned and notified in the manner prescribed by law, met at the Town Hall on the second day of March, 1936, at six o'clock in the fore- noon to elect their officers for the ensuing year.
Cards of Instruction and Specimen Ballots were posted as required by law.
The ballot box was examined and found in good working order and at close of voting agreed with the check lists in the number of ballots cast.
The following named persons appointed by the Select- men and sworn by the Town Clerk were assigned to duty as follows: Louise Brennan and Charles Bullard to dis- tribute ballots; Edward Sweeney and George Miller to check at the ballot box. Coleman J. Hogan, constable, at the ballot box. Alex MacLean, Richard Conrick, Robert Bowley, Luther Cheney, Laura C. Atherton, Harriet E. Thayer, Edna Huebener, and Howard A. Welch, as tellers. The ballots were counted in open meeting and the total vote cast was four hundred and fifty (450).

Article 5. Voted that the Town authorize the Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of the revenue of the financial year beginning January 1, 1936, and to issue a note or notes therefor, payable within one year, and to renew any note or notes as may be given for a period of less than one year in accordance with Section 16, Chapter 44, General Laws.
Article 6. Voted as recommended that the taxes shall be paid in two equal payments, July 1, 1936, and October 1, 1936, and on all taxes remaining unpaid after the first day of November 1, 1936, interest will be charged at the rate of five percent (5%) per annum from the first day of October until taxes are paid, and that the Collector shall receive one percent (1%) of 1936 taxes.
Article 7. Voted as recommended that members of the Fire Department be paid the sum of $19.50 per year and $1.00 per hour while working at fires.
Article 8. Voted as recommended that the Town author- ize the Collector to use all means in the collection of taxes as the Treasurer might if elected to that office.

SPECIAL MEETING July 13, 1936
Pursuant to a warrant issued by the Selectmen, the in- habitants of the Town of Medfield, duly warned and noti- fied in the manner prescribed by law, met at the Town Hall in said Medfield, on the thirteenth day of July, 1936, at 7:00 P. M. and the following action was taken on the articles in the warrant :
Article 1. Voted, that for the purpose of paying a final judgment rendered against the town in the case of Daddario, the sum of $7407.76 be appropriatad and that to provide for said appropriation the sum of $50.00 be trans- ferred from the appropriation for the Board of Health, $207.76 from the Water Department appropriation, $250. from the Police Department appropriation, and $2000 from the Water Extension on South Street appropriation voted at a Special Town Meeting held on May 11, 1936, and that the Treasurer with the approval of the Selectmen, be and hereby is authorized to borrow the sum of $4900 in accord- ance with the provisions of Clause 11, Section 7, Chapter 44, General Laws, and issue a note or notes of the Town there- for, so that the whole loan shall be paid within one year from the date of issue. (Unanimous vote.)
Article 2. Voted, that this article be dismissed.
Voted that the meeting be dissolved.

D. 1936, at 7:00 A. M. then and there to act on the following articles :
Presidential Electors; Governor; Lieutenant Governor ; Secretary ; Treasurer ; Auditor ; Attorney General; Senator in Congress; Congressman; Councillor; Senator; Repre- sentative in General Court; Register of Probate and In- solvency ; County Commissioners ; County Treasurer.
To obtain a full expression of opinion, voters should vote on all three of the following questions :-
(a) If a voter desires to permit the sale in this town of any and all alcoholic beverages to be drunk on and off the premises where sold, he will vote "Yes" on all three questions.
