The Air Line Div. M. C. R. R. intersects the Kalamazoo Div. L. S. & M. S. Ry at this point, giving Three Rivers no little importance as a commercial center. It is 5 miles west of Centerville. the county seat, 25 south of Kalamazoo, 12 north of White Pigeon, and 145 west of Detroit. The place contains 6 churches, Presbyterian, Methodist Episcopal, Reform, Protestant Methodist, Episcopalian and Lutheran, and has 3 societies without church accom- modations, Baptist, United Brethren and Free Methodist.
