Book A, page 393 .- The Records of the allotment of William Hedges granted by the Town of Easthampton to him, his heirs or assigns forever, containing a sixteen aere lot with all privileges and appurtenanees belonging to such an allotment as followeth :


Imprimis, the home lot and the addition containing seven aeres and a half more or less bounded West by the street and the neck that belongeth to the Calf Pasture South and Hooke poud East and the addition that did belong to Jeremiah Meachem now in the possession of her that was the wife of George Myller North.


Secondly, one parcel of land on the great plain containing six acres and a half more or less bounded by the little pond Norward & Westward and South by the beach, and East by Mr. John Mulford's land.


Thirdly, one parcel of land more on the Eastern plain con- taining six aeres and a half more or less bounded by William Mulford's land East and a parcel of land that was formerly in the possession of Mr. Thomas James West, and the high- ways South and North ..

Fifthly, one parcel of woodland Eastward from the Town being a second division of land containing eight acres more or less bounded by the highway South and North and Na- thaniell Bishop's land East and a piece of land that formerly was in the possession of Benyamin Price West.


One parcel of meadow on the first division at Accobonok containing one acre ninety-six pole more or less, bounded by Mr. James on the one side and George Myller on the other side.


One parcel of meadow more in the second division at Ac- cobonock containing one acre ninety-six pole more or less bounded by some meadow that did formerly belong to Mr. James on the one side, and land that sometimes did belong to George Myller on the other side.


One parcel of meadow in Accobonock neck containing two acres and a half more or less, bounded by George Myller on the one side and a parcel of land that did belong unto Mr. James, now in the hands of Jeremyah Conkling on the other side.


One parcel of meadow at the Norwest containing three acres and thirty two pole be it more or be it less, bounded by a parcel of land that did belong formerly to Mr. Thomas James on the one side and George Myller on the other side.


One parcel of meadow at the Eastward end of Hooke pond which was a part of his proportion of waste meadow con- taining about three acres more or less bounded by some meadow that was formerly George Miller's and now in the possession of Thomas Osborne Senr. Norward and Westward and the other sides by common land.


One parcel of meadow at Napeak containing about one acre more or less bounded by Mr. Scallenger Norward.

And also one parcel of land more in Georgica neck being part of a third division of land containing eight acres more or less, bounded by Mr. Thomas Backer's land Eastward & the common land Norward and the pond Westward and the high- way and part of William Mulford's land Southward.


And one parcel of land more Eastward from the Indian well containing eight acres more or less and being part of a third division of land bounded by the highways North and South and William Mulford's land East and a parcel of land that doth belong unto Benjamin Price's lot West and now in the hands of John Wheeler.


Also one parcel of land more Eastward of Hook pond being part of his addition land containing two acres more or less bounded by the beach Southward and some part of Hook pond Westward and Mr. James his land Norward and the way that goeth into Mr. James his land Eastward.


And one parcel of land more granted to him by the Town as being part of his second home lot and it being at the Northeast end of the Town and it containeth about two acres and a half more or less and bounded by some land Southward that doth belong to Thomas Talmage which for sometime has been in the hands for use by Thomas Bee and bounded East- ward by some land belonging to John Stretton Senr. & bounded by some land that doth belong to Thomas Osburne upon the Norward corner of it and Westward by the Com- mon.


Book A, page 39 .- John Hopping hath a certain parcel of land laid out unto him at Wainscut which was made over to him by bargain and contract from Pedigrine Stanborough,

and this land containeth about twenty acres and a quarter more or less and it lieth and joineth together with some land that doth belong unto the allotment that was Roger Smith's as may appear by his record and is bounded part of it by the present Common and part of it by the highway that leadeth to John Osborne's house.


Book B, page 5 .- The Records of the Allotment of Mr. Thomas James, granted by the Town of Easthampton to him and his heirs forever, containing seventeen aeres of upland, viz : home lot and plains with all privileges and appurte- nance belonging to such an allotment as followeth :


Imprimis, the home lot with the addition containing nine acres be it more or less bounded on the West with the street and on the North with the home lot of Mr. Lion Gardiner and Hooke pond East and George Millers home lot South, the South corner of the addition running to the Norwest corner of Hooke pond.


Secondly, one parcel of land on the great plain containing two acres and an half be it more or less, bounded with the beach South and William Mulford West and the highway North and Thomas Talmages' lot East.


Thirdly, one parcel of land more on the East side of Hooke pond containing seven acres be it more or less, three of which is addition land and the other four was exchanged with the Town for the land at Georgica, bounded with William Hedges' lot South and the highway East and the hummocke of wood North, as also all the meadow between that and the pond, being in lieu of waste meadow.


One parcel of land North from the Town containing six acres be it more or less bounded with Nathan Burdsall on the East side and that which Mr. James bought of Jeremiah Meachem on the West side.


Fourthly, one parcel of land on the Eastern plain contain-

ing six acres and an half be it more or less, bounded with the beach South and Richard Straton's lot West and the highway North and William Hedges lot East. (This is exchanged with Nath. Foster for his six acres of woodland and the plain land is to fence to the harbor and the woodland the three rails.


Fifthly, one parcel of woodland lying Easterly from the Town containing eight acres and an half be it more or less, bounded with the highway South and North, and Tho. Tom- son West and Tho Osburne Sr. East.


One parcel of meadow ground in the first division in Acco- banocke containing two acres more or less bounded with William Hedges on the one side and Mr. Gardiner's on the other.


One parcel of meadow more in the second division at Ac- cobanocke containing one acre and three quarters be it more or less bounded with Thomas Chatfild on the one side and William Hedges on the other.


One parcel of meadow more in Accobanocke neck con- taining one acre and three quarters be it more or less, bound- ed with Mr. Gardiner's on the one side and William Hedges on the other.


One parcel of meadow more in the Norwest meadow con- taining three acres and a half be it more or less bounded with Mr. Gardiners on the one side and William Hedges on the other side.


January the last Mr. James and Jeremiah Conckling hath exchanged meadow, viz, the three last parcels here above written, so that that was Mr. Gardiners' and Mr. Chatfild's lying next Mr. James' first division at the Springs.

home lot and plains with all privileges and appurtenances belonging to such an allotment, as also several exchanges of land made by the aforesaid Mr. James with some other men as hereafter followeth :


Imprimis, the home lot and addition containing nine acres be it more or less bounded on the West with the street and on the North with the home lot of Mr. Lion Gardiner, and Hooke pond East, and George Myllers' lot South, the South corner of the addition is to run to the nearest corner of Hooke pond.


Also one parcel of land upon the East side of Hooke pond containing twenty-five acres more or less, with all the mead- ow land that lieth by or between the pond and the aforesaid upland bounded by Mr. Thomas Backer's land Eastward, Southward by the beach and by Steven Hedges his two acres of land lying upon the Southwest corner and the Hook pond West, and North, which land was part of it for addition.


And one parcel of meadow at Ackobonuk by the East Springs, containing seven acres be it more or less, whereof five acres of this was exchanged with Jeremyah Conkling for several parcels of meadow both in Accobonuk neck and at the Norwest, being thus bounded, upon the West by Richard Shaw and John Parsons, upon the North by the creek and East by Steven Hedges and upon the South by the woods or Common.


And also one parcel of woodland being a second division lying by the Eastern plains containing fourteen acres of land be it more or less which is bounded Eastward by Thomas Osburne senr.'s land and West by John Mulford's lot which was formerly Thomas Tomson's land and the highways both South & North, which aforesaid land part of it was formerly Nathaniell Fosters' which was exchanged for six acres and a half of land that lieth upon the Eastern plains.


Aiso one parcel of land containing twelve acres be it more

or less bounded upon the North by Steven Hand's home lot and addition, upon the East by the highway and by the Common Southward and Westward. This land he exchanged with Willyam Myller for twelve acres of land being the second home lots whereof one was that he bought of Jere- myah Meachem as may appear by the bill of agreement made between them.


Also the land formerly mentioned on the East side of Hooke pond where it is mention made of part of it was for addition land so also part of it was for four acres of land that the said Mr. James exchanged with the Town that did lie in the little plains, and the rest was George Myllers' which he exchanged for land of his at the mill plain and seven acres and a half of land that did lie at Waynscut.


One parcel of land more that doth belong to the aforesaid Mr. James upon the East plains containing seven acres more or less, bounded by the Indyan well at one corner Eastward.


Also one parcel of land more granted to Mr. James by the Town in consideration of land at Meantacut as elsewhere more fully may appear, containing six four acres more or less whereof four of it is in reference to Steven Hedges.


This land lying and being in the woods above the Indyan well plain being thus bounded, South by the highway that is at the North end of the land that belongeth to the plain lots & Jeremyah Conklings' land East and the present Com- mon North and West.


Also one piece of land more granted to Mr. James and being a fourth division and it containeth thirty acres more or less and bounded Eastward by the land last above mentioned & Westward by the Common and Norward by the highway & Southward by the highway.

Hand as else where may appear, and some was given unto him by his master Mr. John Mulford. The several parcels, where it lieth and how it is bounded as hereafter followeth :


Imprimis, his home lot containing twelve acres more or less, part of it he had of Benjamin Hand, which was and did belong formerly unto Samuell Parsons and the other part is that which was granted to him by Mr. John Mulford and it being thus bounded, South by the street, West by the high- way and East by Thomas Tallmage his land, and North by a parcel of land which was of late laid out and doth belong to John Kirle, which land so lately laid out containeth eight acres more or less and bounded South by his home lot and West by the highway and the present Common Norward and Thomas Talmage his land Eastward.


One parcel of land more being part of a second division of land and containeth six acres more or less, and lieth Eastward of the Town at the Two Mile Hollow, four acres of which land he had of the aforesaid Benjamin Hand and two acres of it he had of James Hand in exchange for land at Waynscut, which land being thus bounded by the highways North & South and Mr. Tho. Chatfeild's land East and Steven Hands' land West.


One parcel of land more upon the Eastern plain containing two acres and a half more or less, bounded, by the highway North and the highway and beach South and Thomas Os- borne Senr his land West and Samuell Parsons his land on the East side.

And one parcel of meadow at Accobonock in the first divi- sion and containeth four acres more or less, part of this he had of Thomas Hand in exchange for land at Waynscut, bounded by Nathanel Bishop on the East and land that form- erly was in the possession of John Osburne but now in the hand of the Widow Myler West.


One parcel of land upon the Eastern plain containing three acres and a quarter more or less bounded by John Parsons on the West side and Thomas Hand on the East and the highways North & South.


Know all men whom these may concern that I John Mul- ford Senr. of the Town of Easthampton have upon good con- sideration moving me thereunto given and granted and do by these presents freely give and grant unto John Kirle who was formerly my servant for several years a certain parcel of land containing six acres more or less as it is now laid out, it being part of that accommodation which I bought and did belong to Thomas Tomsin, and lying and being amongst the second home lots, bounded by the street South and the high- way West and a parcel of land that was at first in the hands of Samuell Parsons, afterward in the possession of Benjamin Hand East, the which land thus bounded being six acres, I say I do freely give it unto the aforesaid John Kirle his heirs and assigns forever as witness my hand this 13th day of January 1676-7.

of an acre joining to the three acres and a quarter mentioned on the other side of the leaf, which maketh John Kirle's land in that place four acres more or less and this three quarters of land John Kirle hath of Thomas Hand in exchange for some addition land that was last laid out at the rear end of the addition belonging to the allotment of John Hand senr. and bounded as is mentioned on the other side by John Par- sons on the one side and Thomas Hand on the other side and the highways South and North.


BOOK A, page 672 .- The Records of the land belonging to James Loper to him, his heirs and assigns forever, part of which he purchased of the Town of East Hampton, and paid for it unto the Town according to agreement, and part of it he purchased of Reinock Garrison adjoining to his own land which land was given and granted unto the aforesaid Reincck Garrison, his heirs and assigns forever.


Imprimis, his home lot containing between six and seven acres more or less and being about nineteen pole and a half wide, and bounded on the front by the highway that goeth to the Three Mile Harbor East, and by the present Common Norward and Westward by some land belonging to Joseph Osborne, and Southward by the aforesaid Reinock Garrison's land that was.


Also one parcel of land more which he bought of the abovesaid Reinock as by his bill of sale more fully may ap- pear, and it containeth about five or six acres more or less bounded East by the highway that goeth to the Three Mile Harbor, and Norward by James Loper's own land and West- ward by land that belongeth to Joseph Osborne, Southward by land that was granted to Phillipp Leeke but now pos- sessed by Benjamin Concklinge.
