and also it was then agreed to by a Major vote that there should be and Remain a highway from the west end of the Lane that goes between James Diamond his hous lot & John Stretton his hous lot to run down to Osbornes Creek both which Highwaies to Consist of at least twenty rods in bredth and no division of land ever to Intrench upon either of said highwayes so as to Make them more Crooked: or to move them into wors way or ground for that use : and so to remain for thos that have Right in the Town Comon for ever

To all Christian people to Whome thes presents May Come Samuell Fithian of the towne of Easthampton in the County of Suffolk upon the Island of Nassaw in the Government of New York in Amer- rica Sendeth greeting : Know ye that for Divers good Causes and Considerations him ther unto Moveing but more espes- ially for and In Consideration of ye Sum of twent pounds to him in hand payd by Samuell Filer of the same place have Sould and Confirmed unto the said Samuell ffiler all that his Parcell of Land lying in the western plaines in said East- hampton Containing seven Acres be it More or Less bounded with the Land of Capt Thomas Chatfield to the westwards ; with the Land of Capt John Wheeler to the Eastwards; with the sea Beach or high way to the Southward; and with a ffield Highway to the Northward To have and To hold for- ever and do warrant. As witness his hand and seale the twenty Nineth day of October 1700.
