It was also the day above sd then at the said Town Meet- ing granted by A Major vote (: that wheras ther Is a highway Laid out in the Indian well hollow flanking to the westward side of William Barnses lot the whole Length of the same towards the woods ;) that ther shall be a high way Continued from the last mentioned to Consist of at least four poles In bredth straight up till the same enters into that highway or streete; that lyes befor or against Jacob Schellinx his front of his hom ; or hous Lott and so to Remaine a highway for the us of the proprietors in Common for ever : It was also Ap- pointed by a Major vote at the said Town Meeting that Thomas Chatfield shall be Treasurer to this Town for this en- suing year to receive what moneyes is or shall be due to the said town from severall persones ; and pay such debts with the said Mones as he shall have direction from time to time ; from the trustees of the freeholders & Commonalty of the Town of Easthampton
