The fine of five pounds imposed on Michael Power, on convic- tion of an assault and battery, and adjudged to be paid to the use of the State, was remitted.
On application of Captain Porter,
Ordered, That Mr. Commissary Stiles be directed to furnish him with a horseman's tent for the use of the Commissioners for running and marking the boundary of Pennsylvania to the west- ward.
The following nomination of Deputies by the Surveyor General, agreeably to an act of Assembly passed on the seventh day of April, 1785, and intituled " An Act to provide further regulations whereby to secure fair and equal proceedings in the land office,"" was presented to Council, and approved, on condition that such of the persons so nominated as are already Deputy Surveyors within the old purchase, be instructed to resign those appointments before a commission shall issue to him or them for a district within the new.
