SUPREME EXECUTIVE COUNCIL.

An order was drawn upon the Treasurer in favor of Mr. John Steele, for the sum of forty-one pounds eleven shillings and eight pence specie, amount of his account for printing the public ac- counts, according to the Comptroller General's report.
A deed was signed by his Excellency the President, to John Frees, conveying a tract of land, situate in Richland township, in the county of Bucks, containing five hundred and eight acres and forty-nine perches, for the term of the natural life of Joseph Gallo- way, forfeited by his attainder of high treason, sold for two thou- sand and ninety pounds, which sum has been paid to the Treasury. Deed dated this day.
Council taking into consideration the deficiencies in levying and raising of public taxes,
Resolved, That the Attorney General be and he is hereby in- structed forthwith to commence such prosecutions as by the laws of this State he is authorized to institute, in order to compel the levy- ing and raising of the said taxes.
Ordered, That the foregoing resolution be transmitted to the several Commissioners of the counties within this State.
An order was drawn upon the Treasurer in favor of Mr. Joseph Dolby, for the sum of six pounds, for ringing the bells on the an- niversary of Independence.

David Jones, Esquire, was appointed and commissioned a Justice of the Peace and of the Court of Common Pleas in and for the county of Bedford, upon a return made according to law for the township of Millford.
The Comptroller General's reports upon the account of Edward Pole, for iron mongery furnished by him for repairing the State House, and building a public Arsenal, was read and approved, and an order drawn for the sum of thirty-four pounds five shillings and seven ponce specie, in full for the same.

Ordered, That the persons appointed by the act intituled " An Act for furnishing the quota of this State towards paying the an- nual interest of the debts of the United States, and for funding and paying the interest of the public debts of this State," to sign the bills of credit to be emitted by virtue of the said act, be in- structed that it is the sense of Council that the persons so appointed do proceed with all possible dispatch to compleat the signing the said bills.
Ordered, That copies of the accounts of Robert Morris, Esquire, as Agent for Pennsylvania for purchasing specific supplies, and of Robert Wilson, Esquire, late Sub-Lieutenant of the county of Chester, be furnished by the Comptroller General, and transmitted to the Prothonotary of the Supreme Court, according to the direc- tions of an act of the General Assembly intituled " An Act to give the trial by jury to the public officers of this State, and to other persons who shall be proceeded against in a summary manner by the Comptroller General of this State."

Ordered, That the sale of the ruins at Fort Pitt, by the Agents of Confiscated Estates in Westmoreland county, as late the pro- perty of Alexander Ross, be postponed untill the further order of Council.
