six acres of land, situate in Linn township, in the county of Northampton, late the property of George Philip Wertman, an attainted traitor; that a deed was executed and delivered by Coun- cil for the premises to your petitioner, but that possession has not yet been given; and praying, therefore, that the Sheriff of the proper county be directed to give it-was read, and an order taken that the prayer of this petition be granted, and that the Sheriff of the county be accordingly directed to put the said Rice into possession of the premises aforesaid.
An order was drawn upon the Treasurer in favor of the Hon- orable Jacob Rush, Esquire, for the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds, being one quarter's salary, as one of the Judges of the Supreme Court, and due the eighteenth instant.
Wednesday, the twenty-ninth instant, was appointed for going into the appointment of a successor to Robert Smith, late Lieuten- ant of Chester county.

Ordered, That the Comptroller General be authorized to incor- porate a small number of Invalids, for the purposes mentioned in his application of the thirteenth instant, and that this number does not exceed one Lieutenant, two Sergeants, two Corporals and eighteen privates.
An order was drawn upon the Treasurer in favor of William Rees, for three pounds fifteen shillings, for the farther improve- ment of the State House lot, according to two acts of Assembly dated the twentieth of February, 1735-6, and fourteenth of May, 1762, and twenty-third of September, 1783, for which he is to account.
An order was drawn upon the Treasurer in favor of Alexander Carlisle, for the sum of fifty pounds specie, in full of a reward for apprehending and securing William Zrickett and Samuel Crindall, agreeably to proclamation of Council of the thirteenth day of August, 1783.

In favor of Philip Beahm, Esquire, for one hundred pounds, in part of the ballance due to him for supplies of provisions furnished to Colonel Balliett's battalion of Northampton county militia, in 1778, according to the Comptroller General's report.

Monday next was assigned for going into the appointment of Commissioners, agreeably to a resolution of Assembly of the twenty-first of March, 1786, authorizing Council to appoint five Commissioners, to meet those from the States of Maryland and Delaware, on the business of an improved inland navigation.

And one other order was drawn on the Treasurer for the sum of forty pounds two shillings State money, in full for principal and in- terest due upon his certificate for a horse furnished for public use, to be paid according to resolution of Assembly dated the eighth of April, 1782.
John Nice's resignation of his office of Justice of the Peace for Germantown and Roxborough townships, in the county of Phila- delphia, was read and accepted.
The following orders were drawn upon the Treasurer, vizt :
In favor of the Honorable Henry Hill, Esquire, for forty-three pounds ten shillings.
In favor of the Honorable John Boyd, Esquire, for forty-four pounds five shillings ; and

General Muhlenberg attended the Vice President as a member of the Board of Property.
The appointment of Commissioners, agreeably to resolution of Assembly dated the twenty-first of March last, on the business of an improved inland navigation, was postponed until Wednesday next.
The report of Joseph Miller, John Boyd, and David Watson, Esquires, Justices appointed to hear the evidence respecting the election of Justices of the Peace in the district of Strasburgh and Lampeter townships, in the county of Lancaster, was read and considered ; and there appearing sufficient reason to set aside the said election, it was accordingly set aside and made void.
