The population of the village is 434. The manufacturing estab- lishments of Leslie include a large stave and barrel factory, a flouring mill, a tannery, 2 planing mills, a foundry and machine shop, a saw mill, and some others. Leslie boasts a $20,000 school house, employing six teachers.
