In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify and warn the inhabi- tants of the Town of Randolph, qualified to vote in elec- tions therein, to meet at the polling places in their respec- tive precincts, to wit:

You are directed to notify and warn the inhabitants qualified to vote as aforesaid to meet at the Randolph High School Auditorium, Memorial Parkway, in said Randoipn on Monday, the nineteenth day of March, 1956 at 8:00 o'clock in the evening, and then and there to act, on the following articles :


ZONING


Article 1. To see if the Town will vote to amend the Zoning By-Law of the Town, by extending and estab- lishing as a Business District the area now included in the Residential District the area being as described and set forth below :


A certain parcel of land in the Town of Randolph, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, situated on the Northeast- erly side of North Main Street, and the Southeasterly side of Martindale Road, and bounded and described as fol- lows:


SOUTHWESTERLY by North Main Street, 390.75 feet;


NORTHWESTERLY by the junction of said North Main Street and said Martindale Road by a curved line, 39.50 feet;


NORTHWESTERLY by said Martindale Road, 174.75 feet;


NORTHEASTERLY by lots 34, 33, 32, 31, 30, and 29 as shown on a plan of land by Lawrence DeCelle & Sons, Land Surveyors, dated September 2, 1952,. and recorded with Norfolk Deeds, 480.22 feet; and

Article 2. To see if the Town of Randolph will amend the zoning By-Laws changing the area listed from resi- dential to business. Beginning at the northerly junction of Forest Street and North Main Street continuing nor- therly along North Main Street approximately 84.84 feet, then westerly for approximately 90 feet, along former Leon Mann property Parcel No. 20, then southerly for approximately 86.50 feet along property of Victor and Katherine Kroll, then easterly for approximately 90 feet along Forest Street, Title of which is in the name of Victor and Katherine Kroll.


Article 3. To see if the Town will vote to Zone for Business the following premises: The area at 941 North Main St., Randolph, the title for which is in the name of Ernest and Laisla R. Tucker, described as fol. lows: Westerly by North Main St., 60 feet; Northerly by Lincoln Road, 100 feet; Easterly by land owned by Ernest and Laisla R. Tucker 60 feet, Southerly by Lot No. 12. 100 feet; and containing about 6,000 sq. feet. Deed re- corded under date of Feb. 13, 1950, Book No. 2890, page 588.


Article 4. To see if the Town will vote to Zone for industry the following area: Starting at a point on the Westerly side of High Street, thence running Westerly in two courses 240' more or less and 720' more or less; thence running Northerly 320' more or less :

WATER MAINS


Article 5. To see if the Town will vote to purchase the existing water lines and appurtenances together with well, well house, pump and other equipment and rights associated with the present installation on Celia Terrace and Washington Drive, and raise and appropriate money for the same.


Article 6. To see if the Town will vote to take by Eminent Domain, for the installation, servicing and re- pair of Water Lines, an easement on the following un- accepted streets or ways so called :


Washington Drive and Celia Terrace and raise and appropriate money therefor.


Article 7. To see if the Town will vote to instruct the Board of Water Commissioners to install a two (2) inch main on Washington Drive for approximately 150 feet and raise and appropriate money for same.


Article 8. To see if the Town will vote to instruct the Board of Water Commissioners to install a two (2)

inch main on Celia Terrace for approximately 150 feet and raise and appropriate money for the same.


Article 9. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate an additional seven hundred dollars ($700.00) for the completion of the six inch Main instal- lation on Morse St. This request is necessitated because of the extensive ledge condition encountered on this pro- Ject.


Article 10. To see if the Town will vote to instruct the Board of Water Commissioners to extend the end of the present 6" main on Webster St. 250 feet to tie into existing 14" force feed main on Newcombe Ave.


Article 11. To see if the Town will vote to instruct the Board of Water Commissioners to install an addi- tional 1,000 feet of six-inch main on High St., and raise and appropriate money therefor, as petitioned for by the Board of Water Commissioners.


Article 12. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $960.00 for the relocation and renewal of services in three (3) hydrants in conjunc- tion with the widening, relocation and resurfacing of ap- proximately 1900 additional feet of South Street, as petitioned for by the Board of Water Commissioners.

Article 13. To see if the Town will vote to lay out Hammond St. and raise and appropriate money therefor.


Article 14. To see if the Town will vote to layout Gardner St. and raise and appropriate money therefor.


Article 15. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money to layout Harriet Street from Pond to Oliver Street.


Article 16. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money to layout Sarah Street.

To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the layout, draining, grading and construction of streets under the provision of law authorizing the assessment of betterments, and to determine if the money shall be raised by taxation, by borrowing under Chapter 44 of the General Laws, or by transfer from Available Funds, or to take any other action relative thereto.

Article 38. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money to construct the intersec. tion of Depot and Warren Streets as relocated by the County.


Article 39. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or borrow the sum of $20,000.00 to construct a section of South Street under Chapter 90. The Town's share of expense under this article will be $5,000.00


Article 40. To see if the Town will raise and appro- priate a sum of money to construct Hammond Street.

DRAINAGE


Article 49. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money to layout, grade and con- struct a drainage system on Soren Street, as and for a Town Way under the provisions of law authorizing the assessments of betterments, as petitioned for.


Article 50. To see if the Town will vote to secure by easement or take by eminent domain a strip of land on the east side of 246 South Street. This easement as shown on plan filed with the Town Clerk is for a surface water drainage system under Chapter 90 Construction, South Street.


Article 51. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money so that the proper drainage facilities can be furnished for the area on Chestnut Street from the corner of Old Street to include the property at 69 Chestnut Street.


Article 52. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money to have a General Drain- age Survey made of the entire Town.


Article 53. To see if the Town will vote to take by eminent domain a parcel of land between Druid Hill Avenue and Woodlawn Road. This parcel to be known as Richwood Avenue.
