Every Lord's Day turnishes an op- portunity for you to manifest your loyalty.

First, there is Sunday School which furnishes to young and old alike it chance for Bible study. Nothing is more needful and nothing more helpful.
Then there is the Communion Ser- vice, the Passover Feast of the New Covenant. What a delight to come around the table of our Lord to par- take of the emblems of His love, It is a privilege indeed.
The service of the sanctuary wall helphui !. The music sooths . I cheers us; the sermon, if rightly rec. ived, is nomishment, and we cannot .Jil in be better men and women.
Then it the C. F meetings and the evening preaching service we have te- newed opportunities to testify, by our presence at least, of our love and loy- alty to our dear Master, and to be builded up in a most holy faith.
Let us all try to make every Ford's Day one of refreshing from the pie- vence of the Lord. Let each one seek to avail himself or herself of every blessing which is spread for the saints, and thereby grow into the perfect likeness of the Son of God.

IMPORTANT ITEMS.
Our audiences are growing.
No better evidence is seen of in- creasing interest than the fact of in- creasing audiences.
Every disciple of our Lord, Jesus, should not simply accept, but eagerly lay hold upon every opportunity for service.
No better or more important meet- ing of the official board was ever held than the one last Sunday afternoon. An aggressive campaign for 1899 was maped out.
It is not too early to begin to plan to make the last year of this good nineteenth century a period of - splen- achievements and great triumphs for our Lord and Master. What may we do? '
It takes three things to make a good church member: Pray, stay and pay. . "If these things be in you and abound they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful." Let each one try to be of that sont.
THANKSGIVING, It is a beautiful custom that we have, of setting apart a day upon which to gather together in our respective places of worship to give thanks unto our beneficient Hea- venly Father for the tender care he has had over us during all the days of the year, and for the bountiful provi- sion which He has made for our needs. We have not all been given the luxu- ries of wealth not the opportunities ot social distinction. Some even have had a constant struggle to get bread to eat and clothes to wear, and while these seeming hardships become ink- some at times, perhaps, it we could understand it all, they are our greatest blessings. It is hard to realize it some times, but it is nevertheless true that often our trials are blessings in dis- guise. At any rate we have the as- surance that "all things work together tor good to those who love the Lord," and that God "hath given unto us all things that pertain (are essential) unto life and godliness." Let us theretore, on the day appointed, raise a hymn of grateful praise to Him who has kept us and will keep us to the end.
READ THIS.
The third quarter of our pledges will be due the middle of December. We hope it will be sufficient for us to say that every dollar that is due and very much more will be needed to pay accounts that have been delayed all too long already, and the interest on our mortgage loan. However, if every one in the church will do his or her very best we shall be able to make satisfactory settlements and at our annual meeting report decided gains. Take it to heart dear people and make your arrangements accordingly. These matters dare not be delayed.

C. E. RALLEY. In harmony with the throne Bro. I. Z. Tyler, of Aleve- lund, national superintendent of C. F. among the Disciples of Cmist, his is- sued a rallying call to all the enders- orers in our churches to set apart Lord's Day, Dec. 4th for the purpose of considering the best methods of its- sisting in evangelism. It is expected that om society will respond to the call and that we shall on the day named give due emphasis to the im- portance of this highest mission of the Christian Endeavorer. His sig- gested that we make a study of one of the Gospels on Acts of Apostles that we may be better prepared to meet and influence these out of ( hrist. FROM THE RAMS HORN.
Too many make a god of the majority.
You may back-slide but you can never up-slide.
Adversity tests faith, and prosperity tests love.
Scars of suffering here, may mean stars of glory there.
No man can follow Christ and not have trouble with the Devil.
The sermon on the Mount is higher than some church members care to live.
The Christian race is not a go-as- you-please foot race. It takes patience, perseverence and pluck to run it.
Converting shirkers into workers absorbs more time than changing sinners into saints.
The world judges the church from the level of the pew rather than from the standard of the pulpit.
ITEMS OF INTEREST TO ALL.
The Missionary Union meeting was vated a success. The address by Bio. Mclean was well received.
Now that the Lectine Course is closed and the Missionary Union meeting is past let us manitest great interest in the Aid Society supper Dec. 8th.
One thousand dollars must be raised on our pledges before the end of the year. This means an effort on the part of every body, and it can be easily done.
Tomorrow should be a great day at the church. The children will present a very pretty exercise the last half of the S. S. hour, and at 6:15 p. m. the endeavorers will have a very inspiring meeting we teel sure. The Rally all along the line is to be considered. Let all be present.
The social and business meeting at Sister Mulligan's was an enjoyable aflair. Sister Ida Jacques performed the duties of hostess so well that she was elected president of the society. Both Mrs. Mulligan and Miss Jacques deserve our thanks.
Do not forget that the only sure way to have your seat occupied at church tomorrow morning and even- ing is to occupy it yourself. Too many vacant seats are a sure sign that somebody is not doing his or her duty. It would be a rather queerly constructed preacher that could till both the pulpit and the pews.
Good audiences and helpful services last Lord's Day are inducements for you to come tomorrow.
